How to disappear -"but i love that man like nobody can~"
the bass vibrated the ground with each step i made, the room dark and full of people swaying left and right. it reeked in here.
"hey do i really have to be here you know i'm a little uncomfortable with these kinds of things." i nudged my friend with my hand, withdrawing when she began to stumble already drunk.
"come on y/n you're such a bore, no wonder you're always cooped up in your room studying, you never have fun! lets have fun!" she screams and disappears into the crowd. i sighed and wrapped my cardigan around my body feeling gross. as i ascended up the stairs of the building i took deep breaths, i hate being alone in places im unfamiliar with. jennie however, has absolutely no concerns whatsoever, clearly. eventually i reach a door labeled 'rooftop' once i pushed it open i was welcomed with the smell of fresh air.
"thank god something that doesn't smell like alcohol." i felt so relieved as the developing headache started to go away. i grabbed a chair and dragged it to the edge of the roof plopping down and laying my head on the ledge. the bricks felt cool in the night air and it was probably the same feeling you'd get when you've been outside on a hot day and eventually come home to a running AC. i laid there for a while just enjoying the peace and quiet before i heard the door open.
raising my head i turned to look at the person that was joining me on the roof i figured it'd be jennie looking for me but it wasn't.
"why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, his voice was deep and felt like something that'd pull you into a blackhole.
"oh, sorry, you're just not who i expected you to be." i stated, soon the sound of a chair scraping along pavement filled the air as he dragged a chair beside me.
"i didn't think anyone else would be on the roof, didn't realize it was occupied."
"it's okay i just needed to get out of there."
"yeah? me too."
we shared awkward silence for a while before he opened a small box and took a slim white object out.
"want one?" he asked, his eyes peering up to look at me, i didn't realize he'd been looking down this whole time.
"no, thanks, i don't smoke." i declined, shaking my head and offering a small chuckle, "what's your name?" i asked as he lit the cigarette and brought it to his lips drawing a slow breath in and a slow breath out.
"kim taehyung, just call me taehyung."
this guys so... i thought.
somehow he must've sensed how awkward i felt, he leaned backwards in his chair and held the cigarette between his fingers as he looked me in the eyes. i couldn't quite make out his face but i could tell he was probably someone from jennies crowd.
"whats yours?"
"um, kennedy" i lied, i don't really feel like being kidnapped or something tonight.
