A Night to Remember -

"underneath the sheets, you enchanted me and whispered sweet nothings in my ear, i shivered beneath you, all wrapped up in embers."

what i thought to be just an imagination became a reality when his shadow stepped closer and closer to mine. my breath shallowed as i looked up from his shoes to his shadowed face the city lights blurring in the background. he looked like he stepped right out of a dream or some sort of novel and he would definitely be the main lead.

"who are you?-"

as my body jolted up sweat trickled down my forehead the warmth from my dream suddenly turned into a full on heat stroke. shifting to the side of my bed i held my head in pain while running to the toilet and throwing anything that was still in my stomach up. holding my hair back i sat against the cabinet.

"that was such an odd dream." i admitted, groaning as i slowly got up whilst holding onto the countertop. "god i feel like crap."

things took a small turn for the worst when i hung out with jin almost two days ago.

"ready to go y/n?" he smiled, buckling his seatbelt while keeping one hand on the wheel as i nodded we soon sped off down the street the city lights becoming blurred.

"where do you plan on going?" i looked back at him instead of the window not really realizing how awkward this kind of was since we'd only talked once.

"no idea actually, guess wherever the road takes us." he shrugged and gave a small laugh, "it's a little awkward huh."

"oh, um just a little," i laughed, "but i think it'll be something to laugh about later on."

"so you think we'll continue being friends?" he asked, you could tell he was serious.

"of course, i told you in the cafe earlier, we're going to be besties."

that earned me a hearty laugh.

as we talked about almost everything starting from embarrassing childhood stories to currently embarrassing stories we eventually came to a dead end once we reached a small beachy area.

"i didn't know we had a beach here." i admitted, rolling my window down immediately getting hit by the smell of the ocean.

"should we explore?" he asked, poking his head out too once he had parked, we both looked at each other before immediately hopping out of the car and running onto the sand.

laughing as we splashed water onto each other and made circles along the sand he held my hand as we raced along the shoreline. as i ran behind him my eyes crinkled from smiling i looked up at him and at our hands before shaking off the tingling feeling of something foreign to me.

sure i'd gone on dates but i think the only boyfriend i ever had was the one from grade school, they were never anything worth pursuing beyond that point.
