Odette Frost has been a fan of Sonic since she was six. However, once she saw the Sonic The Hedgehog Movies, she became an even bigger fan. Movie Sonic was her comfort character.
After all, she could identify with him. She too wanted friends ever since she started school. But for some reason always ended up being in the loner situation.
Odette's Point Of View
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock and lazily set it to snooze. Then I sat up and stretched little to wake myself up more and got out of bed. "Another beginning to another dull day." I grumbled to myself as I got ready for school. "Odette! Breakfast is ready." My mom called out.
So I hurried down stairs and saw she made pancakes. "Thanks Mom these look delicious." I said happily . Yep, it's just me and Mom. I never knew my Dad, but it never bothered me because my Mom is all I needed to be happy. "So have you made any friends yet?" Mom asked sheepishly with hopeful eyes. I shook my head slowly. "I don't know what I'm doing wrong Mom. I just don't know what to do." I said in frustration. Mom immediately hugged me from behind. "Oh sweetie, something tells me this won't last forever, I promise." Mom said before ending the hug. I don't how she does it, but she always knows how to cheer me up. "Yeah, you're right Mom! I won't give up anytime soon!" I told her reassuringly as I finished my breakfast. Then I grabbed my school bag. "Bye Mom. See you this afternoon." I said and left the house.
I pulled out my blue tooth ear buds and turned on my Sonic playlist shuffle. I'm here from Sonic frontiers was the first track. As I walked to school, I thought about what it would be like to meet Movie Sonic in person. I knew it was impossible, the closest I could get to doing that is somehow meeting Ben Schwartz. I laughed at the thought as I arrived at school.
At lunch period, looked to see if I could find a potential friend. But I had no success once again. So I sat at one of the outdoor tables. No one sat out there so it was a no brainer for "loners". The only silver lining was that it was Friday.
Once I got home, there was a note left by Mom in the kitchen.
Dear Odette,
I've gone on a business trip for the weekend. There's plenty of leftovers in the fridge. I'll be home late Sunday night.
Love,
MomI sighed sadly because that meant I'd truly lonely this weekend. So to cheer myself up, I prepped dinner and watched the Sonic movie.
Once it was over, I decided to head to bed early. As I laid down in my bed, I thought of a game plan for the next day. "I think I'll go on a jog tomorrow." I said to myself and fell asleep.
