3. Sonic to the rescue

Normal Point Of View

At The Wachowski household, Sonic and Tails were hanging out in their attic bedroom. "So Tails, are you working on any new gadgets lately?" Sonic asked. "Well I was thinking that I could-" Tails started to say before he was interrupted by Knuckles barging in.

"Whoa Knuckles, where's the fire?" Sonic asked before he and Tails stood up. "You two need to come down stairs! It's about Robotnik!" Knuckles said urgently. Then they all hurry to the living room.

"Dad what's going on?" Sonic asked nervously. "One of Robotnik's drone brought a message from Robotnik." Tom replied as they all turned to the tv.

"Hello hedgehog! I've captured this girl from another world. Come alone. You have 30 minutes before I harm her. You'll find us in a secret base in Arizona." Robotnik said and then the message ended. Tom walked over to Sonic and kneeling down in front of him. "Sonic, whatever you're thinking, be careful it could be a trap." Tom told him seriously. "Dad, it doesn't matter. I won't let someone get hurt because of me. If he didn't have a captive, I wouldn't listen to his demands." Sonic pointed out. "Tom, you know he's right." Maddie said as she kneeled next to her husband. Tom sighed in defeat. "Alright, but still be careful Sonic." Tom finally said. "I will Dad, I promise." Sonic said reassuringly.

Tom and Maddie stood back up to give Sonic some space for him dash off. Then he dashed off.

He would've ran right past it if he hadn't glanced behind him, and stopped running quickly. Then he turned around and barged into the base. "Eggman!" Sonic exclaimed as he entered the room Robotnik and Odette were in. "Hello hedgehog, glad you could join us." Robotnik said in returned.

Odette's Point Of View

I couldn't believe it! What I thought would only happen through wishful thinking, was right in front me! I was seeing Sonic Wachowski the Hedgehog in person! "Movie Sonic?! No way, this has to be a dream!" I couldn't help myself from saying that as I rubbed my eyes to make I wasn't just seeing things.

However that left both Sonic and Robotnik confused. "Wait, what?" Sonic asked after several minutes of silently staring at me. "Uh, that's kind of a loaded question." I said sheepishly. Sonic nodded and refocused on Robotnik.

Normal Point Of View

"Let her go Eggman! Why did you even get her involved?! She has nothing to do with either of us until now since you explained that she's from another world!" Sonic demanded as he got into a fighting stance. "Well that right there is why I took her. It was all a test to see if you would be willing to save a complete stranger, even if that meant facing me again to save them." Robotnik replied. "Well as you can see, I have. Now, let. Her. Go!" Sonic said very seriously. "Now, now Sonic, where's the fun in letting you win just like that?! That's too easy and boring." Robotnik said condescendingly. This ticked Sonic off. His blue lightning started to dance in his quills and irises. "That's it! I'm done with you threatening everyone's happiness!" Sonic exclaimed. Then he knocked Robotnik out with a spin dash and ran over to Odette.

Odette's Point Of View

"Are you alright, um, by the way, what's your name?" Sonic asked as he looking me over. "Oh, I'm Odette Frost, and I'm fine, just a little shaken up. This all started as a home alone weekend and a morning jog." I replied as I was just now mentally recovering from what just happened. The Sonic movie characters were real in their own separated world! "I can only imagine." I could only nod at that statement. Then I noticed that Robotnik was groaning, a clear sign that he was regaining consciousness. "Uh Sonic, We better get out of here before he wakes up." I said as I pointed at Robotnik. "I'm on it." Sonic said as he took out a portal ring. Then he turned around and threw it.  "After you." Sonic said playfully. Then I ran into the portal with Sonic not too far behind me.

The portal ring took us to the front of Sonic's house. "Welcome to Green Hills Odette. You can stay with us until we can get you home." Sonic said as we went into the house. Then we walked into the kitchen where Tom Maddie, Tails, and Knuckles were. "Sonic! Thank goodness you're alright. So who is she?" Maddie asked in relief. "I'm Odette Frost." I replied nervously because I'm speaking to the character that said what I was thinking in certain moments.

"Mom there's something weird going on. Odette knew my name when I showed up at the base and addressed me as Movie Sonic once." Sonic explained as they all looked at me. I felt like a deer in headlights as I tried to come up with a way to tell them without confusing them even more.

"Well to put it simply, where I come from, you're a movie version of a very popular video game mascot." I explained. Then their jaws dropped in silent shock.

"No way! No wonder you thought you were dreaming when I arrived in the room." Sonic said very excitedly. "Yep two movies with a third going into production before the sequel even came out." I added happily. "Wow and extremely successful films too!?" Sonic asked. "Yes. A lot of people, me included, love you way more than the original video game version." I replied shyly. "Wow Sonic, this is your first fan girl?" Tom said smugly. "Dad! Don't be like that. It's so embarrassing." Sonic said as he blushed. Then he pouted. I bursted out laughing at his antics. "Oh man! Seeing your family shenanigans in person is way more funny and precious than on a screen." I said as I calmed down. Sonic immediately perked up. "Wait, really?" Sonic asked curiously. "Well, I love family fluff. Yours just happens to be my favorite and with those large Emerald eyes elevates it more than it already is." I said excitedly. I couldn't help it. Whenever I talk about Movie Sonic, I inevitably begin to gush about him.

Normal Point Of View

"Wow, I never thought I'd hear something like that! That's so sweet of you." Sonic said in pleasant surprise. "Well you deserve all this positive attention after everything you've been through." Odette replied sheepishly. "Wait what were those movies about exactly?" Sonic asked in suspicion. "Well there was a prologue showing your life before meeting Tom. The rest was both of your adventures fighting Robotnik." Odette replied. "Wow so know everything about us then." Knuckles asked. "Well up to Sonic calling Tom Dad for the first time, yes. Which broke my mind temporarily. I've been wanting that to be cannon ever since you moved in, but to see you calling Tom Dad, was kind of trippy in a way." Odette replied. "I couldn't agree more." Tom added fondly. "So what now?" Odette asked sheepishly.
