Amy ran over and frantically asked about Andrea "Yeah, yeah. She's okay, she's okay" Glenn answered defensively . Shane quickly opened the cars hood and unplugged the battery. "Everyone's okay, well Merle not so much." Glenn continued.

After hearing this I was no longer following the conversation, I felt my stomach drop and tears coming to my eyes. Where was my dad? How could they just leave him like that? What would Daryl think? I didn't know how to feel, I was just simply in shock.

Suddenly a white box van pulled up. I heard the doors open, Andrea jumped down from that van and ran over to her sister tightly. After her, everyone else got out of the van, all except for my dad.

Everyone was happily reunited with there families. I still stood in place unable to move, I was feeling so many emotions at once that I just didn't know what to do.

"So how'd y'all get out of there anyway?" Shane asked. "New guy. He got us out." Glenn answered with a smile. "New guy?" Shane questioned. "Yeah, crazy vato just got into town" Morales answer. "Hey helicopter boy! Come say hello!" He continued.

An unfamiliar man in a sheriff's uniform got out of the truck. "The guys a cop like you." Morales said to Shane. I didn't really care who he was though.

There was a period of silence and Shane had a shocked look on his face. The guy in the uniform came closer. He tried to speak, but couldn't find the words he needed.

"DAD!" I heard Carl yell as he ran to the man, with Lori behind him. The man picked up carl and hugged him tightly, tears forming in his eye. He walked over to Lori with Carl still in his arms and she joined the hug.

I remember Carl had told me his dad died, but I didn't ask questions about it. My mom was probably dead and it was just too painful to talk about. Even though Carl's dad had turned out to be alive, I couldn't bring myself to be happy for them. I was too upset about my own dad. I couldn't just stand here and watch everyone be happy and ignore me.

As I walked away Amy put her hand on my shoulder to stop me. "Are you okay?" She asked. "I'll be okay." I said as I dried my tears. She gave me a concerned look. "Where are you going? It's not safe to be alone." She asked. "I'm just going to the bathroom, I'll be right back." I had found myself lying a lot lately. "Be back soon, okay? Amy said as she let me leave.

I walked though the woods to mine and my dad's tent and went in. I got into my sleeping bag and cried. I felt so helpless, and there was nothing I could do about it. Nobody even told me what happened out there, they were all too preoccupied with there own happiness.

After I while I must have fell asleep. I woke up to a voice outside my tent. "Hello?" I immediately recognized the voice to be Carol "Dakota? I brought you dinner." She said. I got up and opened the door to the tent. She knelt down to my height and handed me a plate of food. "We would love if you could join us at the fire. Everyone's wondering where you went." She spoke kindly. I took the plate of food, despite not being hungry, but I still didn't say anything. "I'm so sorry Dakota" she continued. She opened her arms and offered me a hug with a small smile on her face.

I hesitated but eventually caved in and accepted the hug. She held me tight and patted my back. She always seemed like the perfect mom, and it would be a lie if I said I wasn't a little jealous of Sophia.

While I didn't really want to be alone, I just couldn't join them. After Carol went back to the group I ate my dinner and went back to sleep. Daryl would probably be back soon, I wasn't worried because it wasnt unusual for him to hunt through the night.
