"Elizabeth? Elizabeth?"
I woke up to cold pale hands on my face. I turned to see a nurse and a woman behind her. "Finally you're awake." The room around me was spinning. I couldn't see anything clearly.I noticed the nurse was wearing bright red lipstick, and a white uniform. "Where am I?" I said in a cracking voice. The nurse didn't answer just yet. Instead she gave me a white paper cup filled with water. "Can you tell us what happened before you went to school?" Then it happened.
It felt real, like I was there all over again. I heard the screams, Smelled the gas, and heard the explosion. I closed my eyes, and lied my head back.
Elizabeth woke up to her built in bedrooms alarm clock. In the year 2560 a lot of robotic things were built. Even robotic homes. Mechanic arms came from a slot in her wall and pulled the blanket and sheets off of her. "Time to get up Eliza..beth" The robotic voice always messed up her name.
She slid out of bed and the arms began neatly making her bed. Another pair of arms grabbed her clothes out of the closet, another packed her backpack, and another pair got her shower ready. Elizabeth took off her clothes and looked in the mirror. Her hair was long and dark brown. She had recently just got her Chinese bangs re-cut.
She rubbed her hand on the scar she had on her shoulder she got from badly breaking it when she was doing gymnastics. She sighed and got in the shower. "Eliza...beth, the time now is 7:05am" Elizabeth's bus comes around at 7:45am. She got out the shower and dried herself and hair off. She put on her buttoned up white collard uniform shirt, navy blue tie, navy blue skirt, and black flats with all white high knee socks.
She pulled her hair into a ponytail leaving the bangs out. She applied a navy blue bow on her ponytail. Her school was stricted about uniform policy. She put on clear lipgloss and grabbed her phone and backpack. "Eliza...beth the ti-" Elizabeth shut her down leaving out, blocking the robots voice. She walked down the stairs and seen that the I-robot was on cleaning the floors.
Her mom was walking back and forth fast putting on her earrings and shoes. "Beth, the food is on the table." Her mom and dad always called her Beth. She only let her parents call her that. She ate a muffic, some eggs, bacon, and drunk some milk.
The main house voice came on, "Elizabeth bus arrives in 5 minutes. Mr and Mrs. Baker's flight arrives in 20 minutes. " Both her parents were Journalists so they traveled a lot to get good news. Elizabeth was use to being home alone whenever they had left. Elizabeth heard her bus pulling down the street she grabbed another muffin and kissed both her parents goodbye. Her dad was packing suitcases and he hugged her tight. "Have a beautiful day sweet Beth." She smiled and ran to her bus.
On the ride there she sat quietly alone. She gazed out the window, but her mind drifted else where. The bus suddenly came to a hard stop causing Elizabeth to hit her head on the seat in front of her. She sat back and looked up and seen an accident ahead of them. She noticed the all black truck. She immediately dropped her back pack and ran to the front of the bus. "Mom! Dad!" A crowd of people formed around the bus. Elizabeth pushed open the bus doors and ran to the truck. She seen her parents with their heads down in the truck. She screamed and tried opening the door when she felt big hands grab her. "Its going to blow up!" Elizabeth screamed and kicked trying to get out of the strangers arms. The crowd backed away and the police couldn't do anything. A few seconds later the car blew up. Elizabeth could have sworn she heard them screaming, but she doesn't know if it was the crowd. Elizabeth let the tears fall silently as she watched. Her heart ached, she felt as if a part of her died. Feeling nothing, everything around her faded.I opened my eyes and looked at the nurse and the woman behind her. They gave me blank expressions like they didn't understand a word I said. I sighed and turned over going to sleep.
