Melek's POV:-
Female physician: I have bad news, Hünkarim. Hürrem Sultan has been diagnosed with Malaria and Colic. There's very little chance she survives, and if she does, she will be very sickly and frail to diseases.
Mehmet looks shocked and on the verge of tears. I felt sorry for her too. While she might have been my enemy, she is still a Sultana, and without her getting married to Sultan Suleiman, I would have not even existed.
*Some hours later*
Fem Physician: I am sorry, Hünkarim... Hurrem Sultan has died.
Mehmet freezes. He goes into his room and I follow him.
Mehmet: My Valide... She has died. The very woman who I owe my entire life to has died.
Tears slowly flow out of his eyes. And I know that I am witnessing a rare moment, when the Strong Padishah of the Ottoman Empire is upset and is crying.
Melek: She was a great woman. May she rest in peace.
He nods.
Today is the funeral for Hurrem Sultan.
I see multiple faces.
Most in the harem grim,
Some shocked,
And Mahidevran Sultan...
I have forgot about her.
Ofcourse she would be happy that the woman who had a hand in her poor Mustafa's death.
