XIAOJUN POV

I sat down at my desk to do my normal check. It was a daily routine, scouring the streets of Seoul with the cameras set up by us. And obviously i was meant to be looking for Venom. 

No matter how much i hated them, their intelligence was scary. They did know the ways in and out of the gang. Yet we knew little to nothing about them. The ones we manage to capture, kill themselves but refuse to snitch.

The loyalty can be admired. 

I tossed a few fruit loops in my mouth as the morning sunlight lit a part of my bedroom. My eyes still moved on the screen, making sure to be vigilant of any abnormal activity. 

And like every other day, the area i supervised had no activity. Just as i was about to shut it off i saw something. Two people walking out of a house. They were pretty covered up for a rather warm morning. And what basically caught my eyes was that they had managed to forget that one of them had the snake tattoo sticking our of his collar. 

I couldn't help but smirk, adjusting my other laptop to focus on that one house.

Xiaojun: All criminals make a mistake.

I whispered to myself. We did too. Letting Venom have an advantage to get to know us by trusting Hansol. 

Now all i had to do was observe this house and confirm whether this was a base or no. 

A knock sounded on my door and i didn't even dare look away from the CCTV footages. 

Xiaojun: Yeah?

I heard the door open and a light snicker.

Haesoo: Dang your room's a mess. 

For some reason i had the urge to snap back as i felt embarrassed with that fact. Yet i told myself to keep my eyes on the screens. 

Xiaojun: Why are you here?

Haesoo: Taeyong called for a meeting. The entire group of Seventeen is here too. We are discussing strategy. 

Xiaojun: I am afraid i can't come. 

Haesoo: Boss will be mad.

Xiaojun: Well then tell boss, i am busy because i am suspecting this place to be a base.

I said turning to her and pointing to my monitors. Her eyes skimmed through the gadgets before looking back at me. 

Haesoo: Alright. 

She gave a slight shrug and left the room. I stayed like that for another moment before realizing i got carried away. I cursed and faced the monitors again, this time seeing a car leave. And i managed to the screenshot of the number-plate. 

Bingo.

HAESOO POV

After telling the leader why Xiaojun would not be joining i sat down next to Hendery who looked at me with amusement. He had a teasing smile and i already knew what he was going to say.

Hendery: hey girlf-

Haesoo: Don't even... think about it.

He chuckled before turning to the front where both Taeyong and Seungcheol called for everyone's attention. And i couldn't help but wonder why we were having the meeting in the training area again.

Taeyong: Well, since we have not many leads there is not much we can do. But from now on we will have Seventeen in on all our missions too...

They went on to talk on and on when i caught sight of Joshua giving Chaewon a small but awkward smile. The female on the other hand was still shocked from seeing him. The first time when they visited yesterday, she was at her office, Jaehyun with her for safety.

Speaking of the male he sent a glare to Joshua before placing protective hand on Chaewon's thigh. Clearly he was jealous, and the entertainment was at least more interesting than whatever it was that the two leaders told. 

It was mainly to brief the Seventeen members who weren't there yesterday. I didn't see why i had to be here. Clearly Taeyong had another plan. He knew better than to waste everyone's time. And i wish he had a solid reason for holding both yesterday's and today's meeting here.

Taeyong: Now what exactly is our approach is that we keep the identities of the Seventeen members incognito. No one needs to know they were here.

Chenle: But if they came here and Venom has an eye on us they will know right?

Seungcheol: Nope. Don't worry. We came in disguises. They couldn't know who we were. Besides... i bet they are frantically trying to find our identities. 

I decided to raise my hand.

Taeyong: Yeah Haesoo?

Haesoo: Clearly Venom knows our plans. They have known till now. They would be having their own cams set in here, whenever that happened. What's the guarantee that they will not know Seventeen is with us?

The two leaders shared a look while others around the room gave my question a thought.

Taeyong: You are right. But no. I don't think they have a camera set up here. They definitely have some members keeping a tab on us from one the houses right next to us through probably sonic devices to hear in on our conversations.

Mingyu: Then what about this one? The one we are having now?

Taeyong: Not possible. The protection in this room is very well maintained. No noise comes in, no noise goes out. Bullet proof and blast proof. 

Minghao: Wait so we know they are around us. Why are we not taking them down?

Seungcheol: We can use them to our advantage. Lure them in to a trap by forming a fake plan upstairs. But we can't let them know that we know.

Taeyong: So we will be risking our missions and our safety. We have to continue on. Just to feed into the lies and once the right time hits, and once everyone is ready, we will do the trick.

Jaehyun: Wait... so more of what happened yesterday?

Taeyong: Yes Jaehyun...

Johnny: Alright man, but don't scold us about it then.

Taeyong: I will have to.

Jaehyun: Huh?

Taeyong: They are listening in on us. I will fake scold you. But i have to do it for the plan.

Everyone nodded along.

Taeyong: The third basement has been arranged for the stay of the Seventeen members. Since we can't risk your presence being known we will have to move you down. You are free to use this practice room. A kitchen is also there in the lower floor. All supplies will be provided so have a nice stay and guys... let's try ending this once and for all.

like how is that going to happen if i am planning to write one or more books in the series... maybe two more? idek anymore.
