I stayed leaning against the car quietly, chuckling lightly to myself as me and Tord chatted. And finally I glanced up to Paul storming out, Ell following behind him and of course they both seemed really annoyed.

Paul had the file in his arms, and it was torn in half. Maybe thats how the fight ended, the file ripped and Jake finally stepped in? Or maybe Paul just took it and ran.

I sighed lightly as I rested a hand on my hip. "Took you guys long enough." I said with narrowed eyes. Paul just grumbled lightly under his breath while Eleanor rolled her eyes.

"So we finally leaving or are you two going to fight over who's driving.?" I teased quietly, getting an annoyed huff from Paul. "I'm taking my car and I'm driving MY car." He snapped lightly as he glanced at Ell, she just glared back at him and I rolled my eyes. Not again, I was kidding.

"I'll take shotgun then." Ell said quietly and oh boy Paul did not react to that well, growling. "Fuck off, Pat sits in passenger not some whiny green bitch!" He snapped as he shoved her back. I swear at this point we are never going to leave and I was growing annoyed.

"Guys can we not? I have no clue what our case is but it's probably time sensitive so uhh.. can we just get in the car already.?" I spoke as the two started to bicker. But Paul stopped, for once listening to me. "Okay, yeah. He's got a point, so how about you shut the hell up and sit in the back." He said as he turned to Ell again.

Ell rolled her eyes. "Fine, whatever." She stated as she crossed her arms and went to open a door to the backseat. Paul chuckled lightly, glad she didn't get what she wanted while I sighed. Then we both got into are respective seats, Paul hopped into the front, gripping the steering wheel lightly as he went to put the key in the ignition, while I slid in the passengers side and buckled up.

But I suddenly paused and looked over at Paul. "Do you even know where we are supposed to be going.?" I whispered and right as the idiot beside me pulled out of the parking spot he froze. "Uhhh.." He murmured, squinting lightly as he gripped the wheel.

"We are going to the other police station in town." Ell spoke, glancing over at us with an unamused look. "You would know that if you two ever payed attention." She added bitterly. "Hey! You weren't there, we were paying attention!" Paul cried defensively, but he was a bad liar. "Then whats our case?" She asked and of course the brick-browed man had to pause for a moment. And I swear I could see a loading icon turning in his head, I couldn't even help him out so I just stayed quiet.

"Uh.. homicide?" Paul concluded, and he got an eye roll from the other investigator. "Not even close, we are doing a case on a suspected drug dealer, dumbass." She stated, keeping her arms crossed. I glanced back, a little surprised."Oh a druggie? Thought we just did cases on murders." I suddenly murmured.

"Well what Jake told me it speculated that the person also has murdered a few.." Ell continued getting a glare from Paul. "I was close then!" He exclaimed. I lightly chuckled and patted Paul on the back as he bitterly huffed. Ell rolled her eyes as she continued. "But yeah, we have to get some reports from the police station on the other side of town first. Our boss said that the chief there wouldn't mind." She concluded.

I nodded, well that made sense. But what didn't make sense was why the other station couldn't take care of it, but I can question that later.

"Well what are you waiting for, Paul! Just fucking drive already." Ell suddenly snapped. Me and Paul flinched, Paul stepping on the accelerate quickly. We then were off, finally.

I sighed as I glanced out my window, watching the forest beside the station as we drove off. I didn't think we'd ever leave knowing the two I was with couldn't get along if their lives depended on it.

I barely even remember with this rivalry started, the two really never were friends either. I'm thinking when she first started working here she just showed off for the boss, and maybe the attention made brick-brows mad. Who knows.

I didn't realize I was just blankly staring out my window, all until I felt something place on my right hand. It was gentle and unexpected. I glanced over, noticing Paul only had one hand on the wheel while the other laid on mine.

Pauls eyes were on mine for a moment as he tilted his head lightly. "You alright over there?" He whispered, light worry laced in his voice as he looked back at the road.

"Oh.. yeah, I'm fine." I replied quietly as I glanced back outside, sighing. "You don't seem just fine, you sure you alright.?" He questioned, tilting his head again and I felt his eyes on me.

"I.. just wish you guys wouldn't constant fight you know.." I admitted quietly as I glanced back at Paul, he frowned lightly as he stared back at the road. Then there was silence for a few moments.

"Look.. if it bothers you that much then.. I'll try to get along with her, for you." Brick brows murmured, sighing lightly. I didn't believe him though, nothing could stop them from fighting. But he suddenly squeezed my hand lightly and looked back. "I promise.." He promised gently, very bold of him.

I couldn't help but lightly smile, maybe he wasn't lying. He was serious when he did that, he even shot a small smile back at me.

"Can you speed up, Jesus we are going snails speed!" Ell suddenly complained which cause Paul to flinch and lightly glare back. "Its only ten miles under the speed limit calm down." He hissed before taking a deep breath in.

Eleanor just rolled her eyes as I continued to lightly smiled and looked out the window again, hand in Pauls.
