Chapter 2

                       The possibilities

Taking one look at the sleeping man, she smiled. Carefully picking him up in her hands she looked down at him. He was so peaceful in her hands, her little angel. Safe from the horrors of the world. Why couldn't she be with him was the only thing she wondered, If she was so happy, why did fate have to rip it away from her? So simply like a mere piece of paper, their love couldn't be. But she was going to make the best of it. She was going to be back. But for now, she watched as her angel slept on in her hands. Keeping him in her clutches to make sure he didn't freeze to death, she watched as the night turned. Did she want to leave him? No. Did she have to? Yes. Philza felt safe... a feeling she didn't have for a long time and even though he was sleeping she felt so secure around him and happy, even after he woke up the next morning, yawning while slowly sitting up.

"Well hello, there you," Kristen said, looking down at him yawning in her hands. Not at all through the night did her hands move, keeping that hold on him, not letting go, mostly afraid as if he was gonna fall from her hands and never be seen again. "Someone looks happy to be up!"
"Well, how can I not be happy with seeing you first thing in the morning?" He smiles at her, he was glad he was still there and that he wasn't just dreaming a wonderful dream.

"You're so adorable waking up." Smiling at the admission, taking her finger she lightly rubbed his head carefully trying to show some affection to him in the best way possible. He smiles, he could get used to waking up like this every day, but he knows it's not possible....yet "How was your night?" He asks.
"Didn't sleep, I've never slept before properly, gods don't do it well because we have no reason to." That was mostly the truth.
"What about you?"

"I didn't sleep that well for a while, thank you for watching over me." He says with a smile, giving the finger that was on his head a moment ago a tiny human kiss. Looking confused for a second she realized it must have been a human thing "It's fine my love now where shall we venture today?" She thought aloud, already thinking about the day ahead with a glint of excitement in her eye. "Breakfast would be a nice start!" He chuckled a bit.

Smiling down at him Kristen nodded. "What do you normally have my dear, I can try to find you something?" She said, lifting her hand again from her lap to near him." Mostly just some random stuff that I still have lying around like an apple or potato." He chuckles."Well, why don't we go look around for a bit?"

The Forest surrounding the mountains overnight had become brighter and full of life. "There should be something round here."
"Yes, we can do that" He stands up, stretching himself first. "Do you eat?" It sounds like such a silly question, but he's unsure about it."Nope, no need to but when I'm in disguise yes." She said, getting up and climbing down the mountains while her love stretched in her hands. Being careful as she walked she knew no one would see her and if they did the forest would protect them."Hm? What kind of disguise?" He asks curiously. "Well, you know how some animals have camouflage. It's like mine. I can't walk around all the time like this but I hate being like that. It's not fun" She laughed."By the way dear, tomorrow I will start searching for a solution, it means I will be gone for a bit but I will search for you as soon as I found at least something!" He smiles at her.

Dreading that moment, she thought. "Yeah that's okay, would you like me to set you down so you can collect something? I'll be right near my starlight."
"That would be nice." He says, even though he enjoys being so high up. Setting him down, she sat nearby watching the wildlife. It was sad that she was one of the main causes of its ending. Kristen was the one that kills them all in the end. Sighing, she drew her attention to Phil keeping an eye on him while smiling. Phil just collected some stuff he could use to make some breakfast. "So what are you getting love?" She walked over, sitting against a tall tree fixing her wings.

"Some eggs, mushrooms and a few apples. I was thinking of chicken but I'm not in the mood to hunt.'' He smiles. Nodding, she looked at the varieties of foods, smiling "I find it weird do they taste like things" She asked. "Because when I eat them they taste like nothing" "Well mushrooms don't taste like anything until you cook them, eggs are. same and apples taste sweet, if you want to I could cook something for you too even though it won't be much."

He smiled. It was like explaining colour to a colour-blind person. "No thanks hun you eat up ok? '' She said looking around "Prime hasn't called yet weird." Watching the person she loved dearly smile at her was infectious. He smiled then she smiled. "You eat up love "

"So is that a good or bad thing," She asks. He smiles "Sure dear." He said, eating up his food as the sun rose while the lovers sat.
