This day made me feel alone

I shivered from the sudden cold.

Softly, you let out a mew followed by a scratch

Even through the earphones-

Your purr wasn't hard to catch

Days would often end up like this

But this particular moment

Made me forget about the stolen kiss-

Of them that took me for granted
But I am to blame for having a heart- magnet
That attaches itself to any sort of attraction

Who knew after everything I would still latch onto this feeling?

'Doesn't matter'

They say

'Time will change your pain'

"But you know what Iris?" I called out your name.

You looked at me with those yellow eyes
"Things don't change..."

And as if you understood, you placed your head on my palm feeling the cold

But the pain from the inside refused to go away
