-Jisung

|| "..Not this big of an asshole as everyone thinks?" The long haired male looked at the shorter puzzled.

"That's what he said.. Do you think-"

"Jisung seriously, stop overthinking one phrase this Chan guy said. It's probably not that deep. He most likely didn't even think twice about what he's saying. ", he said letting out an exhausted huff.

Hyunjin was annoyed to say the least. He had already expected that Jisung was going to confront Chan after the Art lesson at some point if the things that the younger told him had actually happened. Being caring and protective of his best friend is very common, as well as him overthinking, but the thing that is getting on Hyunjin nerves is that Jisung was overthinking a single sentence said by a guy that was rude towards Felix. In addition, this phrase didn't seem important to him at all.

"It's just... you should've seen the look of his eyes, as if he was - I don't know - Disappointed? Tired?... Aw man, I don't know how to describe it.", the shorter added but gave up on his further explanation, seeing the look Hyunjin was throwing at him.
He sighed.

"...You're probably right"

Next Art lesson was today. To say Chan wanted to just stay at home was an understatement. Two days ago was the awful conversation with Jisung and since then he couldn't stop thinking about what the other boy had said. Not only that but Minho - his best friend, who should be on his side, Chan thought - also couldn't drop the topic "Felix" around Chan.

The Australien boy just didn't understand.
Doesn't everyone have a person they don't like?

So what is so wrong if I don't like Felix? It's not like his life depends on it...

.
.
.

There he is.
The blonde boy entered the room with his best friend Jisung by his side, of course. Felix noticed Chan's gaze on him but as soon as their eyes met, the younger boy's eyes hurriedly moved away. He noticed the younger shrinking. His posture slouching.

Chan sighed. Why was he behaving like that?
Felix whole body language gave the impression of being hit by the other during last Art lesson or worse. While that was clearly not the case.

"-and get together with the partners you worked with last lesson.", was the only Chan caught of the teacher's speech to the class.
He saw the blonde boy getting up a bit hesitantly but making his way over towards him, in his hands the drawing from last time.
The moment Chan saw it again, he felt the same way he did when seeing it for the first time. ..It looks amazing..

His chest tightened.
He felt guilty.
But what for? - He contemplated.

"Hey.." Felix smiled at him. It didn't seem as bright though.
Without more words, they just started drawing. That was before an awkward silence fell over them. Everyone else seemed to be comfortable with the partner they had - even Minho and Jisung came across as best friends. But Felix and Chan? Anyone could see there was a certain tension between the two of them. And not in a good way.
Felix would usually shine like the sun, happily bubbling over with words, but now as he sat in front of Chan in complete silence, it seemed odd.

After 20 minutes had passed the older boy took a glance at Felix's drawing.
The boy had still put effort into it even if Chan was so blunt last time.

Well, I guess I could at least try ...a bit.
He figured.

So he also started actually focusing on the paper in front of him and on Felix so he could draw him well.
Scanning every detail of Felix made him realize his appearance was indeed not unpleasant at all, quite the opposite. But Chan would never admit that.

Other students would say Felix's eyes hold the stars of the galaxy. But he felt as if there was more to it.
There was more than the brightness of stars.
There was also the darkness in between the stars. Somehow, comforting darkness.
Warm darkness.

His gaze dropped from his eyes to his cheeks.
He spotted what looked like a single, pale freckle next to Felix's eyes, far on the side.
But only one?

"Class will be dismissed in 10 minutes, present your drawing to each other and make sure to clean up before you leave." The voice of the teacher could be heard which brought Chan back to reality. He looked at his drawing - it was acceptable, not a masterpiece of his, but the time given well done.

"Are you done?" He asked Felix with a tone in his voice the other boy could not place whether it was annoyance or not.
"Uh.. yea" His voice sounded unsure. "Here."
A forced smile crept upon Felix's face.

Chan was in awe. He would never admit it out loud but the drawing was truly beautiful.
"I'm gonna go clean up.." Since Felix did not expect to see anything from Chan, he was on his way to leave.

Suddenly grabbing Felix's wrist, made the younger stop his tracks.
Noticing how slim his arm was, Chan said, "Don't you wanna take a look at what I draw?"

Man what am I doing here? He probably doesn't care either way.
Chan thought to himself.

Felix was flabbergasted, looking surprised at the older. "O-oh, I'm sorry!"
He took his time to look at the paper in front of Chan. Somewhat, feeling relieved.
It was maybe not a masterpiece made in 10 hours but it was visible that Chan tried. Truthfully Felix replied
"Your painting.. it's very beautiful."
He smiled slightly.

... I'm not that beautiful though.
