Ada awoke to the feeling of Okoye shaking her.
"Ada. Ada, get up."
She opened her eyes and saw tears in Okoye's.
"What's going on?" she asked.
"I... I don't know. T'Challa... He... He turned to dust."
Reality then hit Ada like a truck. He did it. Thanos did it.
He snapped.
Ada got up slowly due to her previous injury. Once she did get up, she held her side and started walking out of the forest despite Okoye's protests.
She got to the main battlefield and saw many people turn to dust. She saw some people look confused as they didn't know what had just happened.
It was a terrifying sight. She was scared.
Ada's heart sank as she entered the palace of Wakanda. She had expected to find her Shuri, but instead, she found an empty space strewn with dust. Everything around her was still, and the scene was unnaturally quiet. A chill ran down Ada's spine. She couldn't fathom what had happened.
"Shuri?" She yelled her girlfriend's name as soon as she got inside. "Shuri?!"
She ran through every hallway, every room, went through every door, and didn't find her girlfriend. Fear began to grip her as she looked around. Everywhere she went, she saw the dust of what had been. It was as if the entire kingdom had been erased, as if the people had simply turned to dust before her eyes.
She then went into the room where she had been removing Vision's stone. She had seen dust and broken glass. She jumped down to where the table was and saw Ayo down on the floor.
"Ayo," Ada shook her. Ayo then woke up, seeing Ada. Her face was a look of shock considering she didn't know she was the Second Black Panther. "Ayo, are you okay?"
She had no words come out of her mouth as she looked at Ada. She then realized she was asked a question and started nodding and looking around.
"What happened?"
"I... I don't know. I just need to find Shuri," she said as she helped Ayo onto her feet.
She wished Ayo good luck silently and started retracting her steps to see if she missed any place that Shuri might've been.
The once verdant green of Wakanda was gone. The halls were empty and silent. She walked through the palace, searching for someone she could ask the last time they had seen Shuri, but she found no one. Everywhere she looked she saw dust, as if a plague had come through and swept away all life.
