Ch 5

(Yanan's Pov)

After draping a blanket over a sleeping Angus I quietly follow Changgu out the door making sure to lock up before we head to the entertainment company. "I still can't believe you're letting a stranger live with us." I give him a slight look. "He's been through a lot. And besides hybrids are the number one most sold person or living thing on the black market. I can't just kick him back out on the street and let him take a chance on being caught and sold." Changgu is quiet for a minute before looking at me curiously. "How'd you know all of that?" I shrug. "When Kit became our assistant I didn't want to offend him or anything so I did a bunch of research on hybrids." He slowly nods. "Speaking of Kit didn't he come see you last night? He said he was going to." I immediately sigh and run a hand through my hair. "Yeah he came by. He's the one who got Angus to show himself in human form. But he was being really threatening and aggressive when I just wanted to calmly talk things through so I kinda kicked him out." He raises an eyebrow at me. "Wow I'm surprised you went against him." I give him a look. "I can have my own thoughts and opinions." He shrugs. "Yeah but usually you agreed with everything that involved Kit." I shake my head and walk into the practice room greeting everyone cheerfully when Kit suddenly rushes over to me. "Are you okay? Did that cat do anything?" I give him a reassuring smile. "I'm fine and no but he's living with us now until he can get back on his feet." Kit looks at me like I'm crazy. "You don't even know him!" I give him a slight look. "I know he's got a kind heart and is really nice. Now if you'll excuse me I have practice." I bypass him silently and go to get in position for practice.

(Angus's Pov)

Tossing and turning in my sleep I let out little whimpers until I shoot up wide awake and panting. Shaking my head I get myself to calm down when suddenly the front door opens I looking up to see Yanan I a little curious when I don't see Changgu. Yanan seems to read my mind answering me. "He went on a walk for awhile." I nod and suddenly Yanan looks at me concerned as he gets closer. "Are you okay? You're crying." I blink and touch my face and sure enough it's wet from crying. "Oh. It's nothing I just had a nightmare and woke up a little frazzled." He gives me a curious look. "You wanna talk about it?" I immediately shake my head no. "No definitely not." He slowly nods and I suddenly yawn rubbing my eyes tiredly. "You should go to bed." I immediately make a face and shake my head no he frowning. "Why not?" I shift a little before mumbling softly. "I feel lonely and scared in my room." His expression softens before he motions for me to follow him I getting up curiously as he leads me to his room. "I read an article that says being around a nice scent can be soothing for hybrids and Kit says I have a nice scent so you can sleep in here with me." I smile shyly thanking him and he smiles back at me. I then carefully climb into the bed he getting in after me and I unconsciously snuggle close to his side falling asleep almost immediately.
