Most people would describe Freya Fallon as brutal, judgmental, and honest; none is untrue. This is unexpected, given that she is a physician, but this is her identity.

Now she stands in front of an RDA spaceport, pondering whether or not this is the right decision for her. Did she waste the last five years of her life on this? If not, will it be worthwhile? Hopefully, that wasn't the case.

"Do you think she's babbling to herself in her head again?" From behind her came a grating voice. She groaned with exhaustion and knew exactly who it was. "Probably, but she may have finally lost her marbles," another spokesperson said.

She rolled her eyes and shifted her attention over her shoulder. "That'll be a sight to see."

Her younger brothers, Zephyer and Eurues Fallon, were standing there. They were the most chaotic pair of troublemakers you'll ever meet, plus being a pain in her ass, but she had to love them.

Their heads collided just as she was about to respond. "Owww!" they cried out at the same time in pain. Serves them right, smirking to herself, "Knock it off, you two." From behind them came a motherly voice; it was their mother.

"You didn't have to hit us." Zephyer had a furious look on his face. "Yeah, old hag!" Eurues argues, "Who do you think you're talking to!?" "I am your mother!" The boys didn't say anything but stick their tongues out; this angered her, and she went to smack their heads again. "Mum," Freyja said, stopping the older woman, "Hmm?" looking up to her eldest. "It's nearly time for me to go."

The younger boys look at Freya like she is an angel who saved them from their mother's wrath. "Oh! Yes, of course!" Her eyes light up like stars, pushing the two out of the way. "Witch..." Zephyer softly spoke under his breath.

"Oh! My baby!" engulfing Freya in one of her bear hugs, "I am so proud of you, honey!" She cried while repeating kisses on her cheek, "Oh, Lord... M-Mum!" Freya choked on her words as her brothers watched in horror as their big sister was smothered to death; however, Freyja's eyes locked dead with theirs as if she were saying, "You're next."

"Jesus, women! What with the monstrous death grip," Freya scoffed annoyingly as she backed up towards the twins, who were gripping tightly onto her t-shirt. It almost felt like an eternity before she let her go.

Her mother doesn't even acknowledge what she said and smiles aggressively as if she were restraining herself from knocking Freya's head in, which doesn't happen very often.

"Now, do you have everything you need?" placing her hands on Freya's shoulders in concern, which scared the three with how fast she could switch up.

"Spare clothes? a Hairbrush? Did you get any pads? Because if you didn't, I have some right here. She asked, frantically digging into her purse. She could hear the twins behind her let out a little giggle at the word "pads," but Freya just rolled her eyes with a smile. Her mother was rambling on, worrying about every little thing and everyone; Freya was used to it, though; she lived with the women.

"Whoa, whoa, mom, I got everything I need," she held a stupid smirk on her face, "Don't have to go full-on mom mode on me."

"I am your mother; I'm allowed to be concerned for my daughter, who I don't know when I'll see again, if ever," her mother was right; she didn't know when she would see her again, which worried her to the core.

"She's right, sis, you're going into cryo for five years," Zephyer said, joining in on the conversation "nearly six for that matter, and then you spend another year or two there and then get route back", he continues, Freya doesn't know how he talks that much.

"That's twelve years! Freya! Twelve years" Eurues pushed forward in front of Zephyer, slightly panicking, but Freya stared as if the years didn't bother her and meant nothing.

"Don't worry, it's not that long", brushing it off and continuing to smile, Zephyr was about to protest but was cut off, "Now boys, this is your sister's decision", Her mother reminded them that it was her choice in the matter. "But Freya, there's no shame in calling it quits."

She smiled softly at Freya, and the boys quickly nodded their heads in excitement, agreeing with what she said.

Freya let out a little laugh. "I'm sorry, but no, I can't do that," she said, shaking her head slightly. "I want to do this, plus I already signed a contract" Freya smiled at the three; she knew she wouldn't see them for twelve. Years but this was her dream since she was little; RPD offered a job for her in the science department as a doctor for a field team, and she couldn't help but take the job.

Her mother nodded with a sad smile, then looked down at her watch, "It's almost time" Glancing at the twins and then at Freyja, she had two gremlins in her arms before she knew it crying their hearts out. "Don't go! We'll miss you!" Eurues cried, hugging her closer to him; "Yeah! We need you, Freyja" Zephyr held little tears in his eyes that slowly slid down his face.

Freyja just smiled and wiped them away. "No, you don't; you have each other," she said with a calming smile, and she pulled them closer to her body so her head was in between them, close to their ears. "Hayalovay", She softly whispered in their ears, causing them to spill more tears on her cotton shirt and hug her closer than before. "Hayalovay," their voices muffled as they dug their heads in her green cargo shirt, tears sliding down their cheeks.

She let go of them and wiped the tears before they overflowed again. She moved away from them and headed over to her mother. "Come here, mom." She held her arms out wide as she held a sad smile for her. Her mother ran over to her and crashed into her arms.

"I'll be alright, mom," she said softly. "Oh, honey, I know you will," her mother said as she pulled away from the hug.

"Off you go," Freya's mother couldn't believe it; her baby was all grown up. It hurts her to see Freyja go, but she must stay supportive of her, even if she wants to go to an unknown planet with no one knowing what is on it.

"Bye!" The twins cried out to their older sister, sending her off on her way. "See you in twelve years," Freya called back to them, watching their sad smiles. "Good luck, Honey!" her mother called out as Freya approached the entrance.

Hayalovay = Until next time

Hello, Author here!

My plan for this fanfiction is to write at least 1,000 to 2,000 or more for a chapter each week, maybe every two weeks.

And if you see any misspelt words or any other things I should be wearing off in my writing, please let me know because that would be a massive help on my end and my bata readers cause maybe we miss a word or two that isn't spelt right, and I wouldn't want that for you guys as readers.

I want you guys to have the best experience reading this!
