Price

As we went down the elevator Price noticed us. He was talking to my Corporal when he turns and looks at me.

"So you must be Max Tease, it's a pleasure to meet you" he said with a big grin on his face

"When you were recommended to me I knew I couldn't turn you down."

I broke eye contact and stared at the ground, adults scared me. I never knew if they were gonna backstab or use me.

I tried to stay numb and emotionless when I met knew people so they couldn't see any weaknesses from me. This man though was making it difficult. He reminded me of my father; but I couldn't just open up to him. That would be suicide.

As my Corporal left Price dropped his serious act.

"Some people," he muttered under his breath

"They put on some cheap ass act in front of their superiors." He turned to look at me; "He probably treated you like shit, didn't he?"

I nodded my head as I picked up my bag.

"I'll carry that," he said as he snatched the bag from my hands.

He turned and stated walking; gesturing that I follow. 

I followed behind with the rest of my stuff.

I had a feeling that this was gonna be interesting.
