I reach for my knife but instead of cutting myself I walk into my ensuite to wash it then I walk downstairs to put it in dishwasher. Good improvement.
When I get back to my room I see a message on my phone. It's from Hao.
"Hey do you want to go out for tea with me."
I type back "sure"
"Great I'll pick you up at seven"
Instead of relaxing like I would've done I get ready for my date with Hao.
Even the sound of that makes me ecstatic. I'm wearing a navy blue dress with a high collar with little white silhouettes of birds. I walk into my bathroom and cover my scars with makeup. I don't wear makeup on my face usually I can't be bothered and it's setting a good example for Variel "be happy in your own skin" as if I believe that.I'm reading on my bed, it's a good book about a dystopian world in disaster when mum shouts.
"Kali Haos here" In a sing song voice. I climb down the stairs rolling my eyes. Mum and Hao laugh and I run down the rest of the stairs. We pull up in the car park of a really fancy restaurant, like one that will get 5 stars on TripAdvisor.
I have a delicious vegan ravioli. I'm a vegan because why are they less important than us? I can rant all day but I'm not going to because I've got the most beautiful person in the world sitting across from me.When I was falling asleep I replayed all the events that happened that night.
I was getting ready for school and I saw a message on my phone from Hao.
"I love you. " "
"I love you too."
