It was morning and I went out with Lo'ak to ride the ilu.

As we closed near to the end of the reef Lo'ak turned his head to look at me.

"Did you notice something weird?"
The water seemed still, it was too silent.
I signaled him to stay quiet.

"Let's head back" but then Lo'ak shouted.

"Watch your back" as I turned around I saw Na'vi people on a chopper. They were the ones who got our throat under the knife they're the ones who took Spider.

"Let's go" we dived into the waters but they were shooting into the water .

We couldn't let them get to the clan people so we divided.

We crossed the reef and separated near the three brothers rocks.

We couldn't hold them long there was a cave into which we could disappear we bolted to it.

I gasped for air once we reached inside the cave my breath was getting heavier.

Lo'ak laughed " We made it bro"

Everything around me was getting blurry .

"Lo'ak I-" I gasped for breath as I clenched my stomach. I've been shot Lo'ak panicked and put pressure on my wound.

We heard the chopper leaving.

"Come on be strong we'll get back there." He kept reassuring me.

"Keep talking to me alright "we dived back into the water on his ilu.

Everything happened in a blur of a moment Lo'ak called out to dad for help and the next thing I know is my dad yelling.

"What the hell were you thinking"
And Lo'ak apologising .

All I could think about was how disappointed Kiri was yesterday that she didn't even look at me today.

It was wrong of Ao'nung to bully her so I told him that we should stop talking to each other.

He was furious when he left and I didn't see him this morning either.

I think I'll die. I miss home.

"Dad." He pulled me into the hut and kept his hand on my head for support

"I." I gasped for air.

"I want to go home" tears started welling up in my eyes.

"It's okay son be with us" was the last thing I heard before closing my eyes.

I woke up with a sore throat and my body couldn't move. It was as if like someone had beat the living crap out of me.

I looked around and saw Mom and Ronal , she looked at me and Mom came towards me even Kiri was there.

I cried in their shoulders as they hugged me.

Maybe it was the pain after getting shot, maybe it was something that had been bothering me as I cried and I felt lighter afterwards.

After a while Lo'ak and Tuk came with Tsireya and Rotxo.

"I see you're in one piece" I laughed at Lo'ak.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Nah never been better"

They left after a while, it was near night time and I heard someone clearing their throat near the door.

It was him.

"I see you're alive" he just stood there.

"I thought I'd die" I smiled.

He opened his mouth to say something but just nodded it off.

"Well then" he turned around to leave.

"Wait. Come sit here with me for a while." I insisted.

"Nah you should probably rest plus we're not talking "

Is this guy for real right now?
I nearly died.
He's like a child who looks like he has been scolded.

I winced in pain as he tried to leave.

"Ow ow" I held my wound.

"What's wrong? Are you alright? Do I need to call mother?"

I grinned at him.

"Did you just act to get hurt right now? If so I'm really leaving " he seemed angry but too worried to leave.

" I see you Ao'nung"

"You should sleep" he turned his face away from me I don't know if he's angry or disgusted but I grabbed his hand and whispered.

"I don't think you get it Ao'nung."

He finally looked at me and when he did I saw him cry.

"I thought I'd lost you"

I didn't know he'd cry for me. So I just held him.

"I thought I'd never see you again" my eyes were stinging with tears.

"Promise me you'll never go far away"

I knew one thing about us now. He would never be a stranger to me even if I wanted to. He could break my heart just by crying and the last thing is I like him. I like this person in front of me so so much.

"I promise to never leave your side"
My tears fell.

"I see you Neteyam" and with that time stopped at that very moment.

At the very moment he gently grabbed me at the back of my neck and our eyes met, we looked at each other being careful but giving in to one another at the same time. Till the moment my lips touched his.

It was soft like a wave near a distant ocean. Softer that anything I know.
He kissed me gently, like he was touching the most valuable thing to exist. He hugged me like I was the only warmth he'd felt in his entire life. I won't lie but this moment was worth getting shot in the stomach.
