It has been days since I got the wound and today I'll be allowed to swim.

"How about we do some breathing let's not do anything hard today"
I could see that Ao'n was still worried.

"Yes and we all will join you" Tsireya insisted.

"Okay then let's get started shall we"
Lo'ak seemed weirdly calm today maybe it is because of Tsireya.

Kiri and Tuk were guided by Rotxo, Tsireya and Lo'ak were diving into the water meanwhile Ao'nung was helping me with holding my breath.

"Make sure your heartbeat is slow and be calm let your mind go blank. If you stress on how much you can hold your breath you won't be able to do it. Got it?" He looked at me.

"Yes sir" I smirked at him and fell back first into the water.

"Neteyam! Wait-" he dived inside too.

He signed me 'Why did you do that? Your wound is still healing '

I smiled 'I wanted to see you underwater' I signed back.

He rolled his eyes, I watched him and swam even deeper to the bottom if the water he followed. I loved how he swam in a rhythm.

He smiled at me, my hand went over to his neck piece as I pulled his face close to me he grabbed my braids as our lips touched.

After a while we both ran out of breath and swam back and we laughed.

"Hey, fish lips stay away from my brother " Lo'ak shouted from the shore.

"I will if you stay away from my sister forest boy" they both laughed.

He called out for his ilu and we swam back to shore.

Later that day he came back before night fell.

He sat next to me near the bridge and we both dipped our feet into the water.

"Hey um- I got you something if you'd like to wear it" Ao'nung took out what looked like a head piece .

It was a string of beads that matched the length of my braids but the beads were sparkling.

"It's so shiny" he held it in his hands.

"If you allow then"

"Sure" he braided it with my hair and let it dangle near my ear. The strand that keeps falling out in my face.

"Done" he gulped.

"How does it look"

"Beautiful like from a dream"
I fall for him every time he does these small things.

I got up and said "Come"

"Where to?"

"Come" I held his hands and dragged him outside.

I called out for my ikran.

"Hi Ts'inei" I patted her and fed her.

Ao'nung looked pale.

"Don't look her in the eyes. Remember you promised to come fly with me"

"Me? When did I?" He gave out a nervous chuckle.

"Don't laugh it off or try to run away."

After that I formed the bond.

"Coming or not reef boy?" I grinned.

"Coming sir" he sat behind me and grabbed hold of my waist.

"If you hold me that tight I might die due to suffocation. "

"I have never ridden this thing so I won't know if I'll be alive if I fall"

"It is my ikran and if you trust me you have to trust her too. Now let's go"

I shouted and we took flight.

After a while if squeezing me even Ao'nung seemed to enjoy it.

We flew near the three brothers rocks and went back.

"Didn't I tell you it's going to be fine coward"

"Who said I was scared I could even ride it on my own if you'd let me" he bluffed.

"You can't, not her"

"Why not?"

"Because only one ikran will fly with you for their lifetime. So if we happen to visit my home you can choose yours "

"Your home? I'd love to go there. But how do you know which one to choose?"

"You don't choose. It will choose you"

"Ohh" before he could utter anything I said.

"It'll try to kill you" I laughed and walked away.

"What- wait where are you going?"

"To sleep. Why you wanna join me ?"
I teased him.

"Okay lets go"

"Go sleep. "

He smiled and we both went to our huts.

As I lay on my net, I played with the bead on my hair. It glowed at night a mixture of colours. Blue, golden, green- the green of his eyes.

I love him.
