...

.....
.....?

You stood in a pure white space, void of everything. No smells, objects or warmth. The room felt cold somehow despite there being nothing to create this feeling. The only thing that was there was you and whatever was creating the light crying.

Your eyes scanned around the area trying to find the source when your eyes landed on Riddle, however he was hunched over only looking at a small area that resembled a TV screen.

"Riddle..?" Your head shot over to the new voice that filled the void, to your surprise you saw Yuu who's face was filled with concern.

'Do they not see me?' You thought as you looked down at your body.
You were translucent..? Against the white area you must have not been visible enough unless they were trying to find you.
Almost like your unique magic you suppose.

'Is this another thing what can happen with this spell...? But then how did Yuu get in here I didn't hit him with the spell..' Your eyebrows knitted in confusion. Once this spell wore off, you were definitely going to figure it out.

Your eyes rose off the ground and back up at the two who shared the space with you. Yuu had taken up a spot next to Riddle, the other hadn't moved and inch. His head remained propped up on his knees.

The 'screen' abruptly turned on infront of Riddle and gains everyone's attention....well aside from Riddle who had been staring at it this whole time, his gaze unwavering.

"Happy eighth birthday, Riddle" A feminine voice took over the room, in almost an instant you recongised her to be Riddle's mother.

"This years cake is a low sugar recipe, for your health of course" She said in a matter of fact tone, not one mothers usually have on their child's birthday.

"Ah but for dinner tonight tuna sauté, rich in DHA and omega 3 fatty acids I'll have you know. Now that you're eight you caloric in take should be.... 600 kilocalories per meal. Do not eat more than 100g of that cake, Riddle." His mother spoke without a break. Honestly, you had never seen this part of his childhood.

"Yes mother but..just once i would like to try one of those tarts covered in bright red strawberries" Younger Riddle had hung his head lower as if he was disappointed in wanting to try the treat. Looking over at Riddle, his eyes had glossed over yet still fixed on the screen, his lips pursed. Yuu had seemed to pick up on it and put his hand on the other's back.

On the 'memory screen' his mother had taken great offence to the young male's request.
"Absolutely not! Those tarts are monstrously unhealthy, I may as well feed you poison!" She proceeded to scoff.
"Even just a slice would exceed your daily sugar intake"

Your lips pursed in conflict. Was this really how his mother took care of him? No wonder she didn't like you growing up....

"I had always wanted to try one of those tarts with bright red strawberries..." Riddle managed to get out despite his lips quivering, his voice seemed almost monotone. The only slight emotion left was sadness.

He sighed quietly with a sniffle.
"The local cake shop always had them in the window. They shined to me... forbidden jewels...." His eyes flicked to Yuu, you could see how blood shot they were from crying.
