Scott's eyes snap open as his upper body rose in his bed. He looked out the window at the full moon and his eyes went red. Thoughts of revenge and regret of things he had said ran through his head on a neverending loop.

He had thoughts that he couldn't control, and a rage that couldn't be kept inside.

"Scott?" Kira asked quietly as she rose in bed next to him,"is everything okay?" He didn't want to do what his head was telling him to, but he wasn't in control.

His teeth were elongating, he could feel his claws forming with his eyes burning a red so bright that it gave him a headache.

With every ounce of strength he could muster to fight against what was happening he forced his claws into his palms.

"Run." He said calmly, but he knew Kira had heard him because she was moving out of the bed and towards the door, but his instinct gave out and he started moving towards her.

Kira ran through the hallway and towards the stairs, but occasionally she would look back into the darkness of the hallway and see nothing but glowing red eyes.

She didn't know what was wrong with him, and she didn't know how to help him. All she knew was that he was coming after her, and she knew that it wasn't because of the full moon because he had full control.

"Scott!" She pleaded as she ran to the front door,"Scott stop you're scaring me!" She yelled, not even caring that she could wake his mother.

She turned around and turned the door handle, and she had the door maybe two inches open before it was forced shut by Scott's hand.

"Don't take this personally Kira," Scott stated calmly, almost as if he was in a trance. He raised his claws up, ready to slash her throat, but before he could, she quickly grabbed the long umbrella that was  leaning up on the wall to her right and blocked his hand.

She forced him back with the end of the umbrella and tried once more to open the door, only for it to be shut again by Scott.

"Stay away from me!" She yelled as she slammed the umbrella on top of his head.

Disoriented, Scott staggered backwards, and Kira took that as her chance to escape. She ripped the door open and ran outside, closing the door behind her thinking it would provide as some sort of barricade.

The sheriff's house was only a street over, if she could make it there then she could get a gun, or something else go defend herself other than an umbrella that was already bent a little bit from the force of Scott's head against the metal. So she took off in a run down Scott street, but she could already see Scott behind her, and she knew that he was faster than her.

She held on to the umbrella tightly as she turned onto the next street. The sheriff's house was in sight. There was no light on, but she was sure that he would still be awake. As she rounded the corner of the driveway she banged on the door as loudly as she could whilst yelling for the sheriff to come to the door.

A light turned on in the house and she could see the sheriff coming down the stairs, but before he could open the door, Kira was suddenly yanked out of the way of the door.

....

When he finally did open the door, he was greeted by the sight of a cold bloodied body on the grass of his yard, and he looked down sadly once he realized that he knew who this young girl was.

He pulled out his phone slowly and called 911.

"This is Sheriff Stilinski calling to report a dead body on my front lawn," he took a deep breath before continuing,"her name is Kira Yukimura."

...

Up above the two, Scott McCall sat perched on the roof of his ex best friend's house. He listened softly as he wiped her blood away from his hands, and his eyes flickered between red and blue.

"It's a real bummer actually,"Scott spoke to himself,"she was a pretty one. She probably could've gotten me to New York for free."

He smiled a true smile, but tears rolled down his cheeks rapidly, giving away the only hint that the true Scott McCall was even in there.

With one last glance at the body down below, he jumped off the roof into the backyard and took off running back to his house to pack.

The only question that was running through his mind was....would the swim trunks with penguins or palm trees be more appropriate for the weather?
