Her fifth birthday was when she began exhibiting signs of powers. It wasn't until she broke her mothers hand when they realized the extent of them. Out on a business trip, Lois was deployed in Gotham, forced to bring Lila. Clark would stay at the hotel with the little girl, content with just taking care of her. That was until something exploded in the distance.
Instead of doing as his wife had asked, Clark was stubborn and bent on saving whatever had occurred. He left 5 year old Lila in the hotel room with the door locked, watching television. Unbeknownst to him, It was all a trap.
Over the past 10 years she was brainwashed by her 'poppa' (joker) into believing she was abandoned.
