Trevor's POV
While I'm at nine a.m. practice, I see the New Jersey Devils come in for their practice. They actually arrived around five o'clock last night, but needed to get some rest because of jet lag.
When I see Jack, I skate off the ice and run over to him as best as I can with skates on.
"Jack! It's so good to see you man!" I say with a smile. Jack gives me a bro hug, a big smile on his face.
"It's good to see you too, Trev! Where's Jess?" Jack asks. I shrug.
"She's probably with the other photographers upstairs. You'll see her later for lunch anyways,"
"That's true. You tell Jess how you feel yet?" Jack asks as he raises his eyebrows up and down. I roll my eyes.
"Of course not. Jess doesn't like me in that way," I mutter. Jack sighs.
"I don't know Trev. Jess might feel the same way. You never know till you try," he says. I frown.
"Yeah. Maybe. Hey, you should come over tonight. The team and I are working on something that I think you can help with," I explain. Jack nods.
"Sure. What do you need help with?"
"We're, um... discussing how to get me out of the friend zone with Jess." I reply. Jack smiles.
"Cool. I will definitely help out with that," he says.
"Awesome. Thanks Jack," I say with a smile. Jack nods.
"Of course. See you later, Trev."
"Yeah. See you later, Jack."
Jess's POV
Trevor, Jack, and I all go out to eat at a grill for lunch. When I see Jack, I run over to him and give him a big hug.
"Jack, it's so good to see you! How are you?" I say. Jack smiles.
"I'm good. How about you?"
"I'm great. I'm glad that the three of us could be together again. All we need is Maggie and we've got the whole gang back together," I explain. Jack nods.
"That's true. How is Maggie anyways?"
"She's good. I just talked to her last night. We were discussing having a get together here in Anaheim with you and Trevor and Maggie and me. We'd all be together again," I say.
"That sounds awesome. I'm gonna have to clear my schedule sometime during the summer for that," Jack says with a smile.
"Awesome. I'm planning on making a group chat for it if that's okay," I say. Jack shrugs.
"Sure. A group chat's perfect. It doesn't even have to be for the trip. It can just be for us to talk to each other," Jack explains. I nod
"Perfect,"
I make the group chat while we're sitting at lunch waiting for our food. I name it just what I planned to name it when I was talking to Maggie yesterday.
