Rose would barely talk to anyone that day as silent tears kept coming down as she sat in Derek's bed while she replayed the flashbacks in her mind. She just couldn't believe it she didn't believe it her best friend was gone.
Flashback
Scott came in the loft seeing Derek, Boyd, Peter, Issac, Rose, and Cora. "I know where they are" Scott said going towards them.
"Same building as the Argents we know" Derek said. "Cora, Rose, and I followed the twins" Boyd said. "Then they want you to know" Scott said.
"Or more likely they don't care" Peter said. "What is this" Scott asked seeing a map.
"Isn't it obvious the schemers are scheming coming up with a coup de main better known as a preemptive strike" Peter said.
"You're going after them" Scott asked. "No, we are just talking about going after them of course we're going after them" Rose said. "Tomorrow and you're gonna help us" Derek said.
"They're one floor above them in the penthouse right above Allison" Derek said. "So, kill them first that's the plan" Scott asked.
"They won't even see it coming" Boyd said. "Why is the default plan always murder" Scott asked. "More fun duh" Rose said.
"She's your best friend" Boyd asked. "You get used to it" Derek said. "Just once can someone try to come up with something that doesn't involve killing everyone" Scott asked.
"You never get tired of being so blandly moral do you" Peter asked Scott "Not that I disagree with him" Peter said.
"I do why do we need this kid" Cora asked. "He's your age" Rose said.
"This kid helped save your life and you know we can't just sit back and wait for them to make the first move" Derek said.
"You can't beat a pack of alphas" Scott said. "Really cause when they took me, they had a hard time handling me I bet I could take them" Rose said.
"I'm sure you could but just to be safe don't please" Derek said and Rose looked at him, but Derek gave her the look and she sighed knowing she could never say no to him even if he didn't know she was in love with him he always knew how to use his charm against her.
"That's why we're going after Deucalion just him" Cora said. "Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies" Boyd said.
"Only this isn't a snake" Peter said. "Yeah, it's worse it's Deucalion" Rose said. "It's a hydra" Peter said ignoring Rose while Derek questioned in his mind why he was was her best friend sometimes.
"And like Scott says they're all alphas" Peter said. "Deucalion's still the leader" Derek said.
"Let's hope so because you know what happened when Hercules cut off one of the heads of the hydra" Peter asked.
"Two more grew back in its place" Scott said. "Somebody's been doing their summer reading" Peter said.
Present
Cora was back at the place where Derek died when she heard footsteps. "It's just me your uncle, Uncle Peter" Peter said.
"Uncle Peter who killed sister Laura" Cora said. "Mm not my finest hour no but I'm hardly the only dysfunctional family member did Derek mention that he killed me too" Peter asked.
"Slashed my throat ear to ear" Peter said. "By the way where is Rose" Peter asked.
"So that means I should trust you" Cora asked once she approached Peter.
"And as for Rose she didn't want to see anybody after what happened to Derek and you, and I both know it wasn't just because she lost her best friend" Cora said.
