I know this story is kinda rushed... but we've got a lot of ground to cover to get to where the show even starts. So I gotta get the ball rolling. XD

Happy Reading~

Riven's POV:

"What if we made the orbs bigger? Would that help him?" I shrugged as Lilith flipped the page in her book. I was growing tired, doing my best to remain calm and find some form of a cure for Belos. It's been 3 weeks since I came out of my coma, and I'm basically entirely recovered. It's nice being able to walk around and contribute again.

"Maybe, but a great deal of the magic will be needed to get him back to how he was before I went under... he turns over once a day, where he used to be able to go weeks without turning..." I groaned, slamming the book shut and grabbing another one.

"So... you'd need a tree's worth of magic-"
"I don't want to harvest one... I can't... that could set us back multiple trees if one isn't enough!" Lilith shook her head, getting up and using her magic to put all the books back, including the one I was holding.

"Lily!"
"Listen to me, we can harvest some sap, see if that would have a similar effect... and even if we harvest a tree, we can plant more, we have loads of seeds now, things aren't the same as they were thr-"
"THREE YEARS AGO, I KNOW!"

"SSSSHHHH!"
"OH SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I yelled at the librarian, who gasped and hid behind her desk.
"Rivs, stop. This isn't going to help either of you. I understand you want to help him, he wants to help you too, but researching day and night isn't going to help... please" she took my hands, giving them a gentle squeeze as I breathed heavily, just wanting all this to magically get better so we could all just live happily.

"Ok... Ok..." I took deep breaths, shaking my head as I felt hopeless... nothing seemed to work on him for his curse. The orbs help, but he's just... the curse is still getting worse no matter how many he uses at once. Lilith got me to sit back down for a moment, before the Library doors opened, revealing Belos wearing his casual button up and pants.

"Shit, what time is it?" I asked Lilith with desperation as she checked her watch.
"Uuuhhh... 6"
"6?!"
"SSSSHHHH"
"YOU SHUSH!" I yelled back again as Belos heard me and saw me from the lower level and smiled.

"I thought I would find you here!" He called to me and went for the stairs.

"Lilith I completely forgot about our anniversary date! I look like I just woke up!"
"Odd, since you haven't slept yet-"
"Help! I am begging you! I will do anything!" I pleaded, shaking her hands in mine as Belos got ever closer.

"Alright, just try not to forget we were going to hang out tonight-"
"I promise I'll make it to our late night study! Please!"
"Alright Alright, I've got ya covered" she drew a circle, my outfit changing from my lounge wear to a short white dress with golden trim, gold roses tying my hair back into a half-up half-down hairstyle and my slippers turning to white flats.
"You are my savior!"
"Savior? What for?" Belos turned the corner, gasping as he looked me up and down.

"She and I were just talking about maybe harvesting sap from the palistrum trees to see if the raw source would help your curse" I walked to him, carressing his cheek as he smiled and leaned down to kiss my nose.
"Perhaps we can make a stop in your garden and harvest some before our evening together, I had the courtyard prepped for the night, just as it was on your birthday, and this time I've place a spell on the doors so only you and I can go through, so this time we will NOT be interupted" I nodded my head, going to Lilith and hugging her.
"See you tonight" I whispered, feeling her nod as I let go and took Belos' hand, Lilith kneeling in respect as we took our leave and began our way back to the hallways of the castle.

"I waited for you last night, but you didn't show" he hummed, keeping his hold on my hand strong as we walked.
"I got there after you fell asleep-"
"But then you weren't there when I woke up"
"I woke up before you... I had a list of things to do today before our date, so I just wanted a head start" he clicked his tongue in response, worrying me he didn't believe my lie.

"Try not to leave me like that, I grow lonely when I don't get to see you after a long day" I nodded, squeezing his hand as we walked into the west hall and into my garden. We wandered passed the recovering plants and to the still healthy palistrum trees. Belos used magic to extract the sap from the tree into a small bottle, healing the tree afterwards once the bottle was filled.

"Not sure this will be the most... pleasent taste, but it's worth a shot" he winced, putting the bottle to his mouth and downing the contents like a shot of alcohol. He grimaced, sticking his tongue out in disgust as he swallowed the sap. But in an instant, the curse retreated, completely disapearing from his skin and making him look like a normal witch again.
