Y/n stared into the eyes of the red haired woman, then the eyelids of the silver haired one. It was always the Doorway when something started wasn't it, And it was always those two. Every time a situation arises, he was always at the doorway.
Even years before...
...
Years back, there were slums. Slums, sure it wasn't deadly bad, but anywhere else in the city would call this place the slums. Instead of apartments, it was more buildings stacked on top of each other and they're were a few metal and scrap buildings but even so, they were well built and taken care of.
The West Side of Lustitia, a huge city with an ever growing population. Possibly one of the best cities in the world, keyword possibly. Home to millions.
Anyway we are specifically talking about the East Side. Even more specifically, a singular building on the very edge of the city. A huge wall towering just beside it. But currently in the door-frame was a tired looking teenager, talking to two different police officers.
The teen leaned in the door-frame with a smile as they spoke. "Please, I can assure you that those deadbeats have been inside all day. Doing nothing. Again." He rolled his eyes just thinking about it.
"Look. Kid. I know that you're the one who's supposed to be taking care of them, but you can't protect them from everything." The older officer spoke out, showing familiarity towards the teen. "It's your job, I get it. Well, this is mine, so if you could just cooperate nicely it'll make everything easier on everyone-"
"Yada yada, not the first time you've told me this." The messy haired teen sighed.
"If it's not the first time then just please, cooperate." The younger officer spoke from beside the older one. The teen had never seen her before, and must be his new partner.
The older officer looked tiredly at the teen's face. "Look, them going away for a bit would be a reality check and wouldn't it be a lot of work out of your hands." He put his hand on his hip.
The teen sighed dreamily and put his back up against the doorway. "Please if I could just get rid of them, I would, in a heartbeat." He snapped his head towards the officers. "But not for something they didn't do." Held his index finger up and spoke knowingly. "They have literally not left this building all day, there should be video evidence over there to prove it." He pointed between the officers to the small store on the other sided of the street.
Both officers saw the moving CCTV just outside of it. The younger officer looked satisfied, while the older just looked tired.
He got off the door frame and stood straight. "Look Officer Besnick and Officerrrr..." He looked over to the younger officer.
"Wafi." The younger officer answered his silent question.
"Officer Besnick and Officer Wafi, check the camera, I'm sure they have not left the building and if you really don't believe me, please come back with a truth scroll." The teen smirked.
Officer Besnick, could not... really do anything about it. "Alright. If what you say is true and the camera gives enough evidence then we won't return." He sighs tiredly.
The teen tilts his head and smiles. "Good to know. Good to see you Officer and nice to meet you Officer Wafi." He nodded respectfully to both. He quickly backed up and closed the door.
Officer Wafi blinked. "Sir? Why did they speak like he was going to see us again." She looked towards her partner who stared blankly at the door.
He breathed quietly out his nose. "Because we will, there are two people in there who make too much trouble for the poor kid." He smirked, his words were filled with warmth and familiarity.
