Hayley Jayce(Played by Sabrina Carpenter)

Dancing had always been a large place in Hayley Jayce's life. Many would say it helped her through all the tough times. Others say it was just there to keep her distracted from the future that taunted her. Hayley would say neither - she liked to believe that it was just a fun way to spend her time.
People had complimented her on her talents; whether that was with her academics, sports, or dance. She never truly accepted them though. She was never one for taking praise, really.
Hayley Jayce once had a perfect life - two loving parents who were happily married, a bunch of friends, always making improvements with her dancing, and captain of the football team. She believed life couldn't get any better... that was until may 19 2009. 12 year old Hayley came home to see her dad gone.
Marie Joyce, Hayleys mother, didn't know what to tell her daughter. She had no idea why he had gone or where he had gone to, all she knew us that he took all his stuff and left. The only evidence that he was ever there in the first place was a piece of paper stuck to the fridge saying "I can't do this anymore, I'm sorry, I won't be back." He didn't even have the decency to leave a rhyme or a reason as to why he left.
Being only 12 years old Hayley didn't have much of a clue what was going on except for that her dad left and he wasn't coming back anytime soon. The only thing she could do about it was dance, so she did. She danced her feelings and emotions out until there was nothing left except the rage towards her father for leaving them without an explanation.
Dance was also what Hayley did when she and Marie had to pack up their stuff and move to Toronto, Canada for her Maries new Job. Hayley wasn't happy about it but she couldn't do much, could she? made her mum happy, after all.
6 months later, in November, Hayley would like to think that's he finally fit in with her classmates at school and, after having auditioned for the studio, with her fellow dancers at The Next Step.
3 years later, At 15 Years old, she had managed to work her way up from J-troupe all the way up to A-troupe and had been on the studios top team for at least a year.
So when the time for everyone to re-audition for A-troupe, Hayley felt somewhat Settled into her new life in Canada and was ready to see what the new since season would bring forth.
