“She walks out in the middle of the night. Tight dress with the top cut low.”
Sophie “Spike” Hall was a rebel. She could do whatever she wanted, because everybody was terrified of her. The guys swooned for Spike, for she was beyond gorgeous. She had the most perfect body, and everybody would think she has the perfect life. Nobody knew why she was this way. They all thought this was how she always had been. Nobody knew the real Spike Hall.
“Give me another one of whatever the hell that was.” Spike demanded.
“Ma’am you’ve had like 10 shots already. I think you’ve had enough.” The bartender said. This was basically how every Friday night went for Spike.
“Give me the damn shot!” Spike slurred reaching to punch the bartender. She successfully gave him a black eye. Then the memories came back.
“Give me another shot, you fucking whore!” Her dad screamed at her mom. He harshly pulled her mom’s hair. Sophie wasn’t supposed to be out of her room. Her mom had told her to stay in her room, and not to come out even if she heard screaming. Of course Sophie didn’t listen. Tears rolled down six year old Sophie’s eyes as she watched her dad violently beat her mom. Sophie’s mom noticed Sophie peeking through her bedroom door. She tried to use her eyes to subtly tell her to go back to her room so that her husband wouldn’t notice her. James noticed Sophie standing at her door way though. He ran towards her.
“You hid the shots didn’t you?!” He punched Sophie right in the eye.
“James! STOP! STOP IT PLEASE!” Her mother sobbed. As her father walked out of her room to go beat up her mom again, Sophie swiftly locked the door. She didn’t understand what was happening. She thought her daddy loved her. She swore to herself that she would never hit somebody like her dad hit her that night.
“I’m so sorry!” Spike sobbed.
“It’s alright dear, you didn’t mean to.” The bartender said, “How are you going to get home?” he asked.
“I think I’m going to drive.” She said.
“There is no way I’m going to let you drive like this.” He said. He hated drunk driving because his wife had almost died because of a drunk driver. The bartender called his nephew to come drop this girl off, because he still had 4 hours left in his shift.
“Okay, my nephew is going to take you to your house.” The bartender said. He looked down to see the girl was asleep. Her phone was sitting next to her, so he picked it up to call somebody for her address. He scrolled through the contacts until he saw ‘Mom’. He was just about to call her mom until he decided against it, because he didn’t want her to get in trouble. He scrolled down one to see a contact named ‘Sis’. He called the number figuring it was his sister.
“Hey Spikey! What’s up?” she said.
“Hello, this is Jack. I’m the bartender from Marquee.” He said into the phone.
“Oh, okay well I’m her best friend, Liz, Did you need anything?” Liz said.
“Um, I was just wondering where her house is. She’s asleep, and too drunk to drive, so I was just going to get my nephew to drive her home.” Jack said. Liz was hesitant to give this guy Spike’s address. She would’ve gone to pick her up by herself but she was in Sacramento. Liz decided on giving the man her address because her brother and his best friend were over at her house so she wouldn’t be alone at home. She gave the man the address to her apartment.
“Okay thank you so much. I assure you my nephew will drop her right off.” Jack said.
“Okay thanks.” She said.
10 minutes later Harry, Jack’s nephew, had arrived.
“This better be good Uncle Jack. I had to skip out on date night with my girlfriend.” Harry said angrily.
“I need you to take this girl home.” Jack said. Harry took a look at the girl. She was hot, there was no doubt about that.
“Whoa, Uncle Jack I know she’s hot and all, but she’s sleeping and I don’t know her. I can’t sleep with another girl, I have a girlfriend!” Harry said clearly misunderstanding what his uncle said.
“NO! That’s not at all what I meant! Take her to her house! How could you even think I meant that?!” Jack said disgusted by what his nephew was thinking he said.
“OH! Okay.” Harry said. He lent down to pick up the sleeping girl. After he had picked her up, he got the address from his uncle, and started to walk out to his car. A cold breeze swept through the air making Spike cuddle into Harry’s chest. Harry chuckled and wrapped his blazer around the girl. He couldn’t help but notice how beautiful this girl was. He sat her down in the back seat of the car and put her seatbelt on. She had her head against the door of the car. Harry shut the door and started to drive to this girl’s house. As he pulled up to her drive way he noticed a strangely familiar car. He dismissed it, and walked up to the door. He rang the doorbell, and waited for someone to answer.
“Harry? What are you doing here?” Zayn asked.
“I could ask the same thing. I just came here to drop this girl off to her house. She was piss drunk at the club so my uncle made me drop her here.” Harry explained.
“ Come inside, its freezing. I’ll go call Matt to see if he knows who the girl is.” Zayn said. Harry walked inside shutting the door behind him. He laid the girl down on one of the couches.
“Oh! That’s Spike, she’s my sister’s best friend.” Matt said. He wasn’t at all fazed by the fact that she was completely drunk. This was a normal thing for Spike.
“Okay well I’m going to go home now. Bye guys!” Harry said. He was a little hesitant to leave though. For some reason he felt very protective over her. Sort of like how he felt towards, his sister, Gemma. He didn’t want to leave her alone with two single teenage guys, but he had to get back to, his girlfriend, Jade.
