QITIAN

Amanda opened the door of her apartment and pushed Qitian's luggage in with very little difficulty.

Qitian didn't pack much with him. To be honest he didn't bring much with him when he rented that apartment. Everything he had was left at the Tang family penthouse. He didn't want to be debted to the family that didn't accept him at all. Also he was afraid he'd be tracked by father Tang.

So now all he has is some clothes, his designing laptop and the toiletries that was absolutely necessary.

After keeping the luggage on the side of the spare room, Amanda went to find Qitian in kitchen. Qitian was there making something simple. Now that he's pregnant he gets hungry easily.

She saw him making an omelet with parsleys.

"Do you like parsleys these days? I'd buy it more when I go grocery shopping this time."

Qitian dug in instantly and put a big gulp in his mouth savoring the taste.

"My tastebuds seem particularly peculiar these days."

Amanda smiles. "That's because you're pregnant. That's normal while pregnancy."

She also went back to make something for herself. She settled on some omelet too except hers was without parsley. Both the best friends moved back to the living room to enjoy their meal.

Qitian finished his omelet quite fast. Compared to him Amanda ate slowly.

Then after finishing eating, they sat down to book flight tickets.

"Where do you wanna go Qitian?"

Qitian was blankly looking at the airlines website. At first he was panicking when he learnt about his pregnancy. But then he decided to talk to his mother. But now that he thinks about it, he finds himself to blame for everything that is happening.

If he wasn't so impulsive he probably wouldn't have to leave the country. If he left the bar that day and wasn't so drunk, would he have been pregnant today?

But then he probably wouldn't have even known about his condition. And lived his life until the end without knowing.

".....an.... tian..... Qitian.... Qitian?!!"

"Huh!?" He snapped back to reality.

Amanda was looking at Qitian. She's been calling him for some time now.

"Which country do you wanna go?" She asked again. "China?"

Qitian looked at her with a lost expression. He didn't know any place other than China. And now that he's pregnant he can't take the risk of completely relocating to a country. So he couldn't help but nod.

They booked a one way ticket to the Beijing international airport from LAX.

And Qitian started preparing to leave. His security deposite for the lease cancellation will reach him the day after tomorrow. And then he can think about his further expenses. As of now his flight was set for the next day and he needed to pack everything.

As the day ended and he finished packing Amanda brought him his phone from the living room. There were two missed calls from his mother's personal number, which gave him a fright.

Right when he took the phone thinking about how to avoid it the same number called again.

He couldn't take the call. Because he was scared. And the call kept on ringing before going silent.

A moment later his phone rang again, but this time it was an unknown number. He thought of avoiding it, but then he thought something and connected the call.
