A Mother's Wish

Wandering to nowhere
The angelic voice resonates so tender
Street lights flickering
Eyes blinking, skies start pouring.

Heart's clenched with sorrows
Soul's lost, crying like there's no tomorrow
Busy streets, cars were passing by
Sobbing, savoring the painful goodbye.

Crying out the pain, excited yet scared
Rejoicing the first cry, my angel, I heard
So blessed to receive a gift
But my precious gem was stolen by a thief.

If only I held her tight
If only I'm brave enough to fight
I took care of her alone, they never care
My whole life, I'm a disgrace forever.

I woke up without the gem with me
Fear crept but I saw my daddy
For years I was thrown and disowned
I wept, why can't they just leave me alone.

Miles apart, my parents made their way
Never wanting a life sleeping on a subway
My gem deserves a life worth living
I can't provide, useless, good for nothing.

Each day, I'm missing her, I'm going crazy
Dunno where to find you, my baby
A wish to watch her grow vanished
It will stay as a mother's wish.
