("Where, where am I?")
Shuichi slowly opens his eyes as the bright light shines upon his face as he slowly gathers the last thing he remembered was...
("Ah, right. That...") Shuichi remembered that the last thing he saw was his own death. To be more specific, his own suicide.
("Don't tell me I survived it. That should be impossible.") Shuichi thought as he raised his arm and noticed something extremely strange. ("What? But how?")
His arm is completely clean. No scars, no bandages, no blood. No nothing at all. It's completely clean, which should be impossible as he remembers cutting his arm open in the bathtub and bleeding out after Himiko's murder.
He quickly gets up from his bed in a panic as he tries to grasp what's going on and takes a deep breath. He couldn't comprehend.

He looks around and sees he is in a highly advanced infirmary room, and a mysterious girl that doesn't truly look human, despite looking like she is.
She is a young woman, roughly around his age, with short lilac hair, lavender eyes and fair skin. She wears rectangular frame glasses, a grey hoodie over a black shirt over a white-collar shirt, a red tie bearing an insignia, a black skirt and tights, and brown shoes. He also noticed a strange little, fluffy creature as well.
"Fou?" The creature asked.
"A-Are you okay?" The woman asked him with concern.
"Huh...? Wha-What happened?" Shuichi asked as he couldn't comprehend what happened.
"You got really tired after doing the battle simulations, and started sleeping on the floor, so I took you to the infirmary." The woman explained.
"Kyou! Fou! Kyou!" The creature said it while it can't talk at all.
"Ah... right... sorry for that..." Shuichi apologised, ("Battle simulations? What is she on about?")
"Ahem... hello?" The woman called out to him.
"Right, sorry. Ahem, where am I, exactly?" Shuichi asked her awkwardly, worried that it might confuse her, but instead she took it in stride.
"Oh! That's an easy question. I can answer that!" The woman said excitedly, "This is Chaldea HQ."
"I see... and how long have I been asleep?" Shuichi asked her.
"You slept like a log, and for quite awhile." The woman explained.
"Fou! Kyuuu! Куао!" The creature called out.
"... completely forgot." The woman realised, "I still haven't introduced you yet, have I, Fou? This squirrel-like creature is Fou. He's a Privileged Life-Form allowed to freely walk around Chaldea."
"I... I see..." Shuichi mumbled, ("That is DEFINITELY not a squirrel!")
"Fou led me here, and that's how I ran into you, Senpai." The woman explained.
"Fou! Fou!" Fou called out as he just ran off.
"He ran off somewhere again. He does that sometimes, just walks around." The woman explained to Shuichi.
"I see... I have never seen an animal like that before." Shuichi noted.
"Yes, normally he doesn't go near anyone aside from me, but he seems to like you, Senpai." The woman said happily.
"If it's okay with you... can you give me a tour around here?" Shuichi asked her, "And if it's okay, can I ask you for your-"
"Ah, there you are, Mash." A man with a top hat found him, and Shuichi looked at him up and down, having a strange gut feeling about him, and not sure why, "That won't do, you know, wandering about without permission... Oh, someone's already with you? You're... I see... The rookie who just got assigned here."
"Ah! Y-Yes. I am." Shuichi answered.
"I see. It is a pleasure to meet you," The man greeted him, "My name is Lev Lainur, one of the technicians employed here. And your name is?"
"S-Shuichi Saihara." Shuichi answered honestly.
"Oh yes! I recognise that name," Lev recognised him, "So this is why you were here. I apologise for the intrusion. We received word about you yesterday afternoon that you would be transferring here today."
Shuichi raised his eyebrow curiously, "What did they say about me?"
"They told us about some of your accomplishments." The technician answered, "It was mostly about you being part of a prestigious family such as the Saihara family, so I'm afraid that isn't good enough for some of the people here, but we'll try our best to make you feel welcomed regardless, Mr. Saihara."
The technician finished, bowing deeply, with a smile.
"Thanks... Can I ask for a tour if that's okay?" Shuichi asked him.
"Mmm... it would seem we have enough time for that, so sure." Lev said. "Where do you wish to go?"
"Mmmm... Anywhere, I suppose?" Shuichi answered, ("I don't understand what's going on... or how I'm technically 'real' in this world? Hopefully, I get my answers soon enough.")
"Very well then. Follow me then, if you please." Lev said.
"Sure," Shuichi replied, following Lev out the door.
A/N - Yep! I wanna do art works for this particular fanfics! Why? Because I thought it would enhance the story a bit AND as an excuse to practice my drawing skills meaning the story will be delayed a bit, but hey! Quality over quantity.
