They say that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's own wing can cause something as large as a typhoon that's halfway around the world. So tell me, how does a extra grain of sand make a difference against the hourglass of time? What impact does changing a single drop of water do to drastically disturb the almighty current known as fate? How can a single man change the entire world?

For that my friend, I will tell you this story. A story that's not about the man himself, but that of his own kin.

It was nighttime at vale as the broken moon of remnant shine peacefully at the city, creating a beautiful scene. On this quiet night, we can see 6 people walking down the streets. 5 of the men, all of them wearing a black suit and hat with a red bow tie and sun glasses. The person that's in front of them is wearing a white suit and brawler hat with a cane in hand.

This man is none other than the infamous thief, Roman Torchwick himself, as him and his goon has just arrived at their destination, From Dust Till Dawn.

As they walk in to the shop, Roman take a few glance to look around before talk to the person behind the counter.

Roman: Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop this late? *one of the henchman pull out a weapon and pointed at the shopkeeper *

Shopkeepers: *hand up in the air* please! Just take my Lien and leave!

Roman: Shhh, shhh, shhh, shhh, calm down, we're not here for your money. *to the henchmen* Grab the Dust.

As the henchmen started to grab the dust, one of them notice a red cloak girl reading in the corner.

Henchman 1: Alright kid, *point the sword behind her* put your hands where I can see 'em

The girl didn't response nor even acknowledge him at all which the henchman is annoyed

Henchman 1: are you deaf kid? I'm talking to you!

He try to grab the girl by the shoulder, but stop when said girl block it. She turn towards the person and use her free hand to press on the device on her ear which appear to be the an earphone which has been an extremely popular even to this day.
[A/n: imagine it being a scouter from dragon ball]

The earphone was a product invented 4 years ago by the Morningstar Industry as an alternative to the handheld scroll. The earphone had acted similar to scroll only that you wear it on your ears and has a built in voice command that you can use to activate it with or without the need of pressing the button.

Ruby: need something?

Henchman 1: *shake off the surprise* hand in the air, now

Ruby: Are you... robbing me? *head tilt to the side*

Henchman 1: you got a problem with that?

Ruby: I see

Roman was standing there waiting his men to finish the heist when he see one of his henchman fly past him. Said henchman crash into a nearby wall with a sickening, cracking sound of a broken bone before slipping to unconsciousness.

Roman: you their *pointed at one of his henchman* go check out what's going on.

The henchman was a bit disturb by the incident but quickly nodded and go check out what had happened, only to be slam by a red blur before he even know what happen.

Said blur happen to be the crimson grim reaper, Ruby Rose, who has tackle the henchman to the outside of the shop before she quickly use her momentum to slamming him to the ground.

The other look outside to see a silver eye, 5' 7 tall [a/n: I know Ruby is 5' 2 in canon but she have a different dad after all, which is why I change her height to 5' 7ish in height] girl staring at them with a smile on her face.
