"Fucking orgasm in my mouth!" Valeria moaned, taking a sip of her latte mocha and letting the flavors dance around her taste buds.

"Valeria!" Rai, her best friend, covered her mouth before any more swear words could slip out. He blushed as he saw a few heads turn in a small café in Brussels where he was a regular. Valeria's eyes sparkled mischievously as she pushed his hand away and gave him a bright smile. "A woman can't enjoy her coffee or what?"

Rai shook his head and decided not to get into another discussion about how she thought he was a prude. She might be his best friend, but sometimes she could be exasperating and the girl had a potty mouth.

"Where are you taking me next?" she beamed, straightening up and looking at him with her big blue eyes. Valeria had been upset because this would be the first Valentine's Day in years that she did not have a boyfriend or a date, so Rai had promised to take his best friend out and so here they were.

Rai twirled a strand of her curly blonde hair on his finger. She slapped his hand back and pushed the curl behind her ear. He looked at her as her pink lips wrapped around the coffee cup. She closed her eyes as she took a sip and swallowed. This simple act fascinated him, and he had to adjust himself.

Her eyes fluttered open. She batted her eyelashes and pouted. "You didn't answer my question, Rai. Where do we go next?"

Rai cleared his throat. "Um, what do you think about a light show in the park?"

She shrugged and said, "Sure."

He lifted his eyebrow as she seemed less than enthusiastic about his idea. "Would you like me to choose another activity for tonight?"

"No," she smiled, touching his shoulder and squeezing it, "I would go anywhere with you, Rai."
His heart hammered in his chest as he looked at her. She was so beautiful. He had been head over heels in love with his best friend ever since she kissed him last New Year's Eve. To her, that kiss had been fun and meaningless. Valeria was single and wanted to kiss someone at midnight so as not to break with tradition. But since those devious lips had kissed him, she had ruined him for any other woman. At first, he had thought it was just a crush and he would get over it. He had tried dating other girls, but every time he saw Valeria, his feelings grew stronger. She was his best friend and damn it, he wanted her all to himself.

"Val, I have a gift for you for Valentine's Day," Rai revealed, watching her reaction as he spoke.

"Really? You didn't tell me that! I don't have anything for you." She pouted again.

If this woman pouted one more time, he would be all over those lips. He ran his hand through his hair in frustration and heaved a deep sigh. Valeria frowned, her face clouded with worry. She placed her hand on his thigh. "Are you sad because you are single on Valentine's Day?"

Rai felt her touch burning through his jeans. If only she knew what was troubling him, but he could not tell her, not until he knew how she felt about him. He didn't want to ruin their friendship and possibly lose her. "Why would I be sad when I have a hot date like you?" he teased, but he meant every word.

She giggled and nudged him on the shoulder. "Did you get me trashy lingerie?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

He felt his jeans tighten, and images of her in lingerie flashed through his mind. He was so glad for the long sweater he was wearing. "Valeria, get your mind out of the gutter already."

...

Rai was waiting in his car in front of her apartment to pick her up. She was on foot, wearing a white open coat and a little black dress underneath. The heels of her black thigh-high boots clacked on the sidewalk. Valeria opened the car door and dropped into the leather seat with a contented sigh. Her warm vanilla fragrance filled the air and his jaw clenched.
