Everything is black.
He can't see anything. He can only hear a faint sound, ringing in his ear. He can't understand what it is. Suddenly, a flash of her face appears in front of him. The bridge. Her bomb. Oh no. Before he realises it, it explodes. The sound of the explosion is sealed in his memory. He hears it again and again and again until he wakes up.

He jumped out of his bed as he gasped for air. He breathed heavily trying to calm himself down. He squeezed his eyes and gripped the sheets on his bed, thinking about the nightmare he just had. Cold sweat covering his forehead.

*Knock knock*

He sighs. It was just a dream...or rather a memory. One he wishes he didn't have.

The sound he had been hearing this whole time was the knock on the door.

"Ekko! Open up man!"
It was Scar and he sounded worried...He must have been calling for him for a while.

He wiped the sweat off of his forehead and slowly got up and headed to the door.

"Woah, are you okay?" Scar said, noticing Ekko's uneasiness.

Ekko leaned in the doorframe, still gasping for air.
"Nightmare..." he said, being out of breath.

"Oh."

"Yeah.. What's up?" he said breathing heavily

"We've got visitors."

"What?" he asked

"Vi' s here."

He sighed in relief. Thank God she was alive.

"Oh..Okay. Tell her I'll be there in a minute."

"Got it... Oh umm. She's not coming with good news..." he said looking at him concerned before walking away.

Great. What happened now.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Ekko cursed in anger.

"I wish I was. I have no idea where she went either. She bombed the council and just... disappeared." Vi said with pain in her voice. She walked back and forth in Ekko's room desperately.

What would they do now?

"How did she survive?" he asked. After her bomb exploded on the bridge, he checked on her to see if she was alive. She was faintly breathing and he tried to take her with him. Τhough he couldn't since he was hurt. He wasn't sure if she was going to make it. He hoped she would. He didn't want her to die, despite their bad blood. He still cared about her.. but he didn't want to show it. Plus, he couldn't let his guard down after what he just heard. No matter how much of an effect she had on him.

"I don't know how. All I know is that most of the councilors are dead thanks to this.. damn rocket launcher of hers."

"Can't say they didn't deserve it."

"Yeah , maybe they did."

Silence fell for a moment until Vi spoke again.

"The only one I'm concerned about is Cait. Her mother's a councilor a-and now she's in coma. She's been going crazy about it. I can't calm her down." she said nervously, still walking around the room.

He looked at her up and down curiously.

"You really care about that Piltie don't you?"
