Lelouch Vi Britannia, the Demon Emperor known by all, but also as the Silent Hero has been killed by the legendary masked knight named Zero. At the end where Lelouch was supposed to be dying in front of everyone, he was saved by Jeremiah Gottwald, in orders from Suzaku and the devastated Nunnally.
Although Lelouch was somehow revived, due to his own unwillingness to survive as he has prepared himself for death, his body stayed in coma for years. Eventually, he was awakened by Nunnally's cry at needing him by her side. He reluctantly awoke himself from his coma to spend his last moments with his sister, but never to involve himself with the world again. With that he never once opened his eyes to see the world around him afraid that his Geass might still be functioning. He sealed off his own sight by his own will.
His last wish was to accompany Nunnally as a brother and to spend their quiet moments together. He even, sometimes, help Suzaku on completing his role as Zero.
Lelouch now spends his secret life with his trusty Orange (Jeremiah), in a remote place where he, Jeremiah and Anya cultivates an orange farm. He meddles with the farm when he wasn't too weak to walk by himself, while awaiting Nunnally's visits from time to time, and sometimes plays chess with Jeremiah although he was up to no match for Lelouch.
