It was a cold and chilly day, well more colder and chillier than it normally was in Pogtopia. It felt so lonely. Did it always feel like this? He had never noticed, until now, probably not even now. He sits down with a piece of paper and a quill with ink, and begins writing to someone, someone who he had taken the responsibility to send letters to this certain someone. Only because his two other brothers, well they're "too busy" to do anything. He begins writing:
Dear Phil,
I am trying my hardest to be there for both Tommy and Wilbur, but it is quite difficult. Wilbur has been distancing himself, never talking, never eating, and if he does talk to either me or Tommy, it's filled with rage and anger. Tommy, he has hope for this country that he and Wilbur created jokingly, he also has hope that once the revolution succeeds, his oldest brother will come back to being his normal self. I, however, know otherwise, Wilbur had gotten far too deep in a hole that he had dug himself in. It pains me to know that I cannot help Wilbur, but I am trying my hardest to help Tommy. He has no one else to look up to, his eldest brother always yells at him, and his best friend, Tubbo, is getting abused by the President of the country that he helped create. One thing though, I would advise, and I know that you're thinking this, to not come over here, as much as I know you want to, don't. I believe that if you come now, you'll make matters worse.
Yours truly, TechnobladeTechno signs the letter and puts it inside an envelope with a red stamp on the center of the opening. He climbs out of the ravine, out into where the sky is shown, to realize that the stars and the moon are out. Techno breathes in the fresh air, quickly followed by a cold windy breeze. He notices a crow placed on a tree branch, it's eyes staring at Techno. Techno reaches out the hand that has the letter to the crow, and in a quick shift, the crow takes it from his hand, and flies away. Techno watches the crow fly off in the distance until it was out of sight, walking back inside the dead and damp ravine, unaware of someone watching him from a distance in the trees.
Tommy was in his bed, trying his hardest to fall asleep, but couldn't. He, however, knew exactly what could help him fall asleep, but he knew that he will never get the help he needed to fall asleep. All Tommy wanted in the world was to be back inside the country that made him feel safe, he wanted to be in the surroundings of the people who cared for him, he wanted to be in his eldest brother's arms.
He shifts to his side, tears threatening to fall from his eyes as he imagines what he wanted the most in the world. He missed playing around with Tubbo, he missed stealing Niki's baked goods, he missed playing catch with his nephew, he missed bantering with Eret, before they betrayed him, he missed listening and humming along to one of Wilbur's new songs. He missed it all.
It's painful to imagine something that once was, knowing that it will never be the same. Sure, the people are still there, but is it the same? He doesn't know. He doesn't know if the revolution succeeds, that everything will be okay, that everything was the way that they had left when both him and Wilbur got exiled. He doesn't even know that they will even win the war, the last time they had a high level of confidence, they lost the election.
Tommy feels a sharp pain, not anywhere on his skin but in his heart. Everything hurts as he chokes back a sob, and falls to sleep, unaware that his sobs were able to be heard throughout the dark ravine.
Wilbur, obviously hears his youngest brother crying alone in his room, but does he care enough to check up on him? It's not that he doesn't care, it's that he doesn't have the energy to even get up from the chair that he is sitting on. He's so tired, everyday he thinks constantly on what to do when the revolution comes and begins, he constantly thinks of what they're going to lose when it's happening and ends. However, he knows the solution to everyone's questions, he knows the answers to his own questions, but he tries to find another way to succeed but it all comes back to that one solution.
He must die.
Wilbur knows that the country he had created will no longer be the same. He had created L'manberg for the sole reason, for the sole purpose, to protect those he loved, and those that loved him back. It wasn't L'manberg itself, it was also the people. The people make what that country turns out to be, and so far, the country is a dangerous place. The people were what made that country something that he didn't want the country to be, he didn't want it to be conquered by power, he wanted the people to make their own choices. Now, it doesn't even stand for anything, maybe it does, but for something that Wilbur doesn't wanna admit.
It has to be destroyed.
There is a solution, yes, but is it worth it? Is L'manberg, worth so much pain, chaos, and destruction? Are the people worth fighting for and against? Who knows, no one really does, not matter how much you've convinced yourself you know.
It's been days since he had sent that letter to his father, but it didn't bother him much as it always takes days, sometimes even weeks, to get a reply from Phil. Techno had been sitting on a chair reading a book with his glasses on focusing on the words on the page that he was on, until he had heard a thud coming from afar. His head shoots up and stands up from his chair, leaving his book and glasses on the chair, grabbing his sword, walking slowly to where he had heard the sudden sound.
He turns a corner to see a small scrawny brunette boy in a fashionable suit with his hands up to his shoulders in instinct. Techno sighs, putting down his sword, "Next time, tell me before you actually get here,"
"Sorry, didn't wanna get caught sneaking my way here," the brunette speaks, scratching the back of his head.
Techno didn't say anything else, just walking back towards the main area of the ravine, sitting back in the chair that he was sitting in before, putting back on his glasses and going back to reading the page he had left on.
The brunette who had followed him back to the main area was now off somewhere looking for either Tommy or Wilbur. Techno knew he had success when he had heard Tommy yell, "TUBBO!"
Tommy was rather excited to see his best friend again, it had felt like a week, even though it was two days. Wilbur was standing next to him, silent, as Tommy and Tubbo were having a nice happy conversation. However, Wilbur had finally said something, asking Tubbo, "Do you know so far what Schlatt is planning?"
Tommy and Tubbo, both look up at Wilbur, Tubbo quickly following with an answer, "Uhh, not really, he's been either mostly drinking or partying all day,".
"Pfft, what a fucking asshole," Tommy rolled his eyes, making Tubbo giggled, as Wilbur walks away from the two kids into his room, saying nothing.
"How is he?" Tubbo whispered to Tommy after hearing the door of the room that Wilbur walked into close.
"If I'm being honest, I don't know, but I'm sure he's fine, he's just being his normal emo boy self," Tommy whispers back.
Tubbo doesn't say anything else about Wilbur to Tommy that night, though after awhile, Tubbo had to go back to L'manberg so that no one would get suspicious of the secretary of the country was gone for a way too long time.
After Tubbo had left, the ravine was filled back with silence once more. Techno was still sitting on the chair that he was on, Wilbur had never left his room since he entered, well not that anyone is aware of, and Tommy, he was bored and decided to go over to bother Technoblade. Before Tommy even sat on the chair next to Techno, Techno had deeply sighed, "What do you want, you gremlin child?" not looking up from the book he was reading.
"Nothing, just bored," Tommy answered.
"Okay, and how is that my problem?"
"Bitch, I never made it your problem,"
"You made it my problem when you decided to sit down next to me while I'm reading,"
Techno didn't get a response after that, but did feel the gaze of his younger brother looking at him with annoyed eyes. Techno didn't care though, he was too busy reading the book that was in his hands.Night Time had quickly rolled in, and the ravine was filled with cricket noises as the three brothers were discarded in their own rooms. A place far, far away from where the three brothers are right now, a certain father had just finished writing a letter back to his middle child.
