The next day, Honami headed to her job with a sense of purpose. She had mailed the letter to Kiyotaka the night before, and now she couldn't wait to see if he would respond.
As she went about her work, her mind kept wandering back to Kiyotaka. She couldn't help but wonder if he had received her letter, and what his response might be.
Just as she was finishing up her work for the day, her phone buzzed with a notification. It was an email from Kiyotaka.
Her heart racing with anticipation, she opened the email and began to read.
"Dear Honami,
I hope this letter finds you well. I was surprised and delighted to hear from you, and I can't tell you how much it means to me to know that you are thinking of me.
I too have been thinking of you, and wondering what might have been if we had stayed in touch. I believe that fate has brought us back together for a reason, and I would like nothing more than to explore what that reason might be.
I would love to meet with you again, to catch up and see where things might lead. Please let me know if you feel the same.
Yours sincerely,
Kiyotaka Ayanokouji"
Honami's heart skipped a beat as she read Kiyotaka's words. She knew without a doubt that she wanted to see him again, to see if the connection they had felt so many years ago was still there.
With a sense of excitement and anticipation, she typed out a response to Kiyotaka, agreeing to meet with him again and explore what the future might hold.
After finishing her letter, Honami decided to pay a visit to Nagumo, one of Kiyotaka's former classmates. She knew that Nagumo and Kiyotaka had a complicated relationship, but she hoped that he might have some insight into how she could reconnect with Kiyotaka.
When she arrived at Nagumo's apartment, she was nervous. She didn't know how he would react to seeing her, or if he would be willing to help her.
Nagumo opened the door, looking surprised to see Honami.
"What brings you here?" he asked, a hint of suspicion in his voice.
"I was hoping to talk to you about Kiyotaka," Honami replied, trying to keep her voice steady.
Nagumo frowned, crossing his arms. "What about him?"
"I...I want to reconnect with him. I know you two have had your differences, but I was hoping you might be able to help me."
Nagumo hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Fine. Come in."
Honami followed Nagumo into his apartment, feeling nervous. She knew that this was a risky move, but she was willing to do whatever it took to try and reconnect with Kiyotaka.
As she sat down on the couch, Nagumo poured them both some tea and sat down opposite her.
"So, what do you want to know?" he asked.
"I just...I want to know if Kiyotaka has been doing well, if he's happy," Honami said, trying to sound casual.
Nagumo raised an eyebrow. "Why do you care?"
Honami took a deep breath. "Because I miss him. I miss the connection we had, the way he made me feel. I just...I want to see if we can start something new."
Nagumo stared at her for a long moment, then nodded. "I'll see what I can do. But I make no promises."
Honami thanked him and left his apartment, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, she would be able to reconnect with Kiyotaka after all.
