( Valerie's POV )

After a while,
He managed to come down. He got quite mad at me because I barely helped him. I just started giggling while he's yelling at me.

" Why didn't you help me !! Laughing at me wouldn't help, y'know ?! "
He said while being mad at me.

" Sorry, but I can't hold my laughter. After all, you didn't tell me what's going on so I got quite annoyed. "
I responded to him after I stopped giggling.

He looked at me angrily, but then he sighed and looked around.

" We're in another universe right now. " He said to me while still looking around.

I got confused.
" So, those portals are portals to another universe ? Why are we here exactly ? " I replied.

" Well, yes. Those portals are portals to another universe, we are here to protect this universe. To be exact, not just this universe but also other universes. To protect the multiverse. "
He explained to me, I got quiet and tried to think about it.

I understood, but there must be a reason, right ? Obviously, but there's something in my mind, as if I knew everything already but it just won't show up.

While thinking about it and trying to recall the memories, Noah threw a tiny rock at me. I got distracted and looked infront of me, he's already far from me.

" Oi stupid. Come on, we're going to enter the town. " He said.

" Huh, what town ? There's a town nearby ? " I asked him.

" Ha, ofcourse there will be a town, or more of a village honestly. Even though we're in the middle of a forest, we're not so far away from the village. Let's get going now. "
He said to me.

" Alright, alright, don't leave me so far behind you. I might get lost.. "
I said to him.

He just continued walking while I ran towards him, then started walking beside him. We both stayed quiet throughout the walk, the silence was killing me slowly inside.
However, I don't want to start a conversation, so I just stayed quiet the whole time.

After some minutes.
45 minutes to be exact.

My legs felt like it wanted to collapse already.

" We're close now. "
He said, finally breaking the silence.

Then after a few minutes, we saw a huge village, it looks like a town but people call it a 'village'. (Perhaps because it's in the middle of nowhere.)
We entered the village and looked around, there was childrens playing, small shops around and a lot of fun things.

It felt alive being here, it felt great and no dramas at all.. Everyone just got along.

" We'll live in a cabin for a while, inside the forest, obviously. "
Noah said to me.

" That's fine by me, but can we eat something please ? "
I replied.

He looked at me then rolled his eyes.
" No money on me. " He replied.

I got worried suddenly.
" Then how are we going to eat ?! "
I said to him.

" Have you never heard of hunting ?"
He replied.

" I don't have the strength to hunt right now, seriously.. My legs are about to collapse. " I said to him.

" tch, I'll do the hunting then, you're indeed weak. " He said to me.
