𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞:𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲(𝐬)

Mr.Cedric and Mrs.Erica are getting ready for a party. Mr. Cedric is a business man,so parties are regular events for them. Mrs.Erica was just wearing her earring,then the bell rang.Lily,their helping hand opened the door.

Mr.Cedric :Lara!Come on in. How've
you been?
Lara : Just fine.
Mrs.Erica : why are you standing,sit
down. May I know what
brings my busy girl here?
Lara : Can't I visit my sister for no reason?
Mr.Cedric :She didn't mean that,she.
just wanted to know if
something happened.

Lara : I know,I was just kidding.
I came here to stay with
Derin,because I heard you
aren't taking her with you

Mr. Cedric : So sweet of you to be so
thoughtful.

Lara :Derin's safety has to be
our first priority.By the
way, where's she?
Mrs.Erica :There she is, coming
downstairs.
Derin :Oh my sweetest aunt,I've
missed you so much.
Lara :Me too,my sweety.

Mr.Cedric :It's getting late,we should
leave by now. Erica,hurry
up.
Lara :Okay,safe travels.Have a
great time!
Mr.Cedric and Mrs.Erica leave for the party.
Lara :We should have our dinner, you've got classes tomorrow.
Derin. :Mother said she cooked chicken curry,let me bring it to the table.
Derin and Lara enjoy the supper together and go to bed.
Lara :I heard,Mr.Ben's son Cavin reads in your school.So,how do you get along with him?
Derin : Don't even ask about him. That grumpy senior is always after me for no great reason.
Lara :My niece is the prettiest,so it's obvious that my niece will have boys after her.
Derin :So true.Prettiest niece of the prettiest aunt.
Lara turns off the light and they both fall asleep.Lara is in deep sleep, but Derin wakes up from sleep in the midnight as her throat feels dry. She gets up from her bed to get water. She finds the water bottle empty,so she goes downstairs to fill it.Suddenly,she hears someone knocking on the door.
She gets lost in thoughts wondering why would anyone come to their house at midnight.
Derin :Should I open the door?Maybe,I should not.But,what if it's someone who needs help? Maybe I should.
Lara : What's all that noise?Derin. What are you doing there?
Derin :I was just getting myself water,go back to sleep.I'm coming.
Lara :Okay.
Derin :Fine!I'll open the door.
Derin walks quietly to the door and opens her door with one eye open.
She opens her both eyes and sees a man wearing all black.Derin hits the man to see if it's a ghost or not.
Derin :Oh it's not.Who are you and what brings you here at this hour?
The man stays silent and turns way.
Derin :Can you please tell me who you are?
The man:No.
The man starts walking. Derin thinks for a while and chooses to follow the man. Derin follows the man quietly. No sooner had the man turned back than Derin hid behind a tree. Derin hides behind the tree for a while so that the man doesn't have doubts. When she feels that the man is gone,she comes out from the tree,but the man was out of sight by then. Derin got frustrated as she had come far from her home and she doesn't know the way here.The nights gets darker and the bats on the trees look at her as if they know her. Derin sits down and her mind goes blind. Then,she noticed a stone that had a "turn to right" arrow. As she had no other way,she decided to follow the stone. She turned right and walked till she came across a tree which had sketch of a pond with turn to left arrow on it. She turned left and started walking. Then,one after one,signs kept coming. She got tired so she sat down,luckily she had her water bottle,so she was about to drink.While she was drinking water,a big folded leaf fell on her lap and she opened it,and saw that it had a short map to a bungalow.She follows it and reaches the castle. The place was dark-looking. She moves forward,and rings the bell.
The bell had no sound.But still someone opened the door,it was the man.
Derin :Why is it you again?
The man grabs her hand and takes her into the house.
Derin : Bloody hell!what in the world is even going on.
The man : You always talk too much.
As there was light,Derin finds the man's deep blue eyes familiar. She was just about to say something,then a lady appeared.
The lady :So,you did it.
The man :I had to.
Derin : May I know who you are?
The lady :You'll know soon.
The man takes Derin to a room upstairs and gives her the keys.
The man : Here's where you'll be staying.
Derin. :The hell you mean by staying-
The man walks aways before Derin could finish her talk.Derin looks around the room.The interior design had a dark theme but still elegant.
After couple of minutes,the lady called Derin for lunch.She went down thinking if she might get a sign or hint there.She sat down and was waiting for the food to be served.The food was served and then came a man down the stairs.He sat on the throne-looking chair.He was wearing a hat which's covering his face.
The man :Begin with the feast!
Derin only eats the oranges as it'll be wet if it's injected.
The man : You have your father's eyes.
The man gets up right after saying it and leaves the room.
The man,that Derin had met earlier showed up.But this time,he wasn't wearing a hat.His brunette hair looked familiar to her.
The man : Dear mother,I'm going out.
A lady :wait!
The man turns back. And Derin was in an entire shock after seeing his face.He was Cavin.She wanted to say something , but he left before she could say a word.
After lunch,Derin went upstairs and was walking around the rooms. A dusty store-room which's door was covered in spider-webs caught her eyes. She entered the room without thinking twice. There were old photos,files with documents,old newspaper, and some boxes covered in dust. She was looking at the old photos,and then she saw her grandfather in one of the photos.
