Qixin was hiding. She scolded herself for being a coward but continued to hide. After leaving WanYin on the exercise grounds she had slipped away and avoided everyone to go to the strange set of rooms on the northern side of the Cove. The family only areas were secluded but this set of rooms was almost an entire house. A house completely selcuded and sitting almost in the middle of the lake.
The long walkways were covered and even had a small deck big enough for two small tables midway before the rooms opened up to a large greeting space. On the left were three rooms, each a decent size for an office and study space the third could be a small bedroom. On the right was another three rooms, one was a luxurious bathing room, the second was a extra large bedroom that opened to the third open living room. The large open room was roofed, the three sides were open, one could simply step off and go swimming. The view from this space was of the heart of Lotus Cove and so very beautifully serene that it soothed something inside her.
Even better was that this room was completely hidden from outside eyes. No one could see into this room or into the bedroom. Qixin had been through in her searching and to her delight found the space to be fully enclosed by the rest of the house and the natural boundaries of the the lake. Enjoying the sunshine she settled herself into lotus position and quickly shielded herself before letting go of her internal shields. She sighed seeing the deep waves of blue mixed with gold flood the bubble surrounding her and knew the time had come.
She needed to talk to WanYin about what she had discovered inside the Xu Seal and what she now knew of the Lotus Mark. Part of her wanted to delay it another day, after all Wei WuXian had just arrived, she could wait. Feeling a surge of Yin through the construct she watched the Seal pulse an angry red, the pain of a deep burn intensified, she knew she couldn't wait.
The Xu Seal is made of Yin energy, that did not make it a curse, but made it so that it could not be removed from the Xu bloodline without fulfilling the necessary acts or Yang energy needed to lift it. If the Seal had been left alone Qixin would've been able to access it and fulfill it's requirements, but FuRong had spent years and her own life force to Curse the Seal for her own purpose. Qixin had a pretty good guess as to what FuRong wanted, the complete destruction of the Jiang Clan.
Sighing she again fought down her anger at the woman who birthed her. Qixin knew her Mother was obsessed with and hated Sect Leader Jiang Fengmain, but to go this far in her need for vengeance was a whole level of crazy that Qixin thought FuRong was above.
The Xu FuRong she knew, the one that raised her was narcissistic, manipulative, and completely focused on doing what was best for Xu FuRong alone. So her spending years cursing the family seal, layering her hate and resentment onto the Seal itself was understandable and easy enough for FuRong to accomplish, with her weak golden core and Qi. If this was all that had been done then Qixin would've been able to cleanse the resentment within hours of receiving the Xu Seal, but FuRong somehow found a way to deepen and strengthen her curse by using her own life force, with the intention of letting the curses backlash kill her.
Qixin felt sure FuRong didn't have the intelligence to do this on her own, feeling chilled to the bone, Qixin considered that someone had taught Xu FuRong this, and if true, then she and WanYin were in deeper trouble then they knew.
Sighing she began to meditate and focus on strengthening the shield around her Lotus Mark and healing the damage being done. When she finished she then allowed herself time to think over how to tell WanYin.
'The Xu Seal is cursed and my Mother used her soul in the curse, we will have to remove her soul before I can cleanse the Seal with my Core construct. Yes that dense core is actually a construct of Yin and Yang energies that cleans Yin and allows me use Yin energy as easily as Yang. Oh and I think I've fallen in love with you and no longer want to divorce. '
