a few weeks had passed and the couple hadn't seen each other. minho was on a trip to gather more ingredients and jisung stayed at home helping his mom out.
his mom had been acting different, she seemed to be in a lot of pain, but she reassured him she was fine.
"mom, are you sure? you look really pale."
"jisung, sweetie." she gave him a sad smile. "just a little pain is all."
"can i help?"
she rolled up her sleeve and jisung saw the gash, he inspected it closer and gasped as he saw the slight black blood forming.
"mom that's black magic! how'd that happen?!"
"a nice man helped me with my groceries, but i did think he was a bit odd when he patted my arm."
she winced and jisung gulped, he didn't even know if minho was back from his trip yet.
"okay, i'm taking you to get help. i know the perfect person."
jisung brought her out of the house and they started the walk to minho's.
-
he knocked on the door rapidly, and as his mom hissed in pain, he started yelling. "min? it's an emergency!"
the door opened and minho's eyes were half closed and he had messy bed hair. "jisung? what are you doing here?"
"my mom got affected by blood magic, and it's starting to spread. can you help her?"
he rubbed his eyes, opening the door further and the two entered. "you can sit, i'll get the stuff."
minho stumbled over to the kitchen, his body exhausted, but determined to help jisung out.
he picked up the potion for healing and went over, sitting next to her on the couch. "i have to touch it, is that okay?"
she nodded and minho placed his hand over top, handing her the mixture. "count to ten and drink this."
he closed his eyes, taking out all the magic he could and she drank it quickly. he pulled his hand away and the wound began closing up.
"it will be painful in the next few hours, so i'll give you something to help the pain."
he snapped his fingers and a bottle appeared in his hand, passing it to the mother. she gasped, glancing at jisung.
"you're the blood witch, aren't you?"
minho rolled his eyes as he stood up. "they still call me that? that's annoying."
she stood and bowed to him. "thank you so much, really." jisung eyed the boy he hasn't seen in weeks and gave him a smile.
"can you send her home, min?"
minho nodded, clapping twice and she was sent back home instantly. as soon as she was gone, jisung held minho's waist, locking their lips together.
after a few seconds he pulled away and noticed minho's eyes closing. "sorry, did we wake you?" he chuckled as minho nodded, burying his face in his neck.
"i was up studying so i didn't get a chance to sleep.
jisung raised his eyebrows as he rubbed his back. "studying more potions to make?" the latter hummed with a smile. "yeah."
minho was sure that he loved jisung, and he really wanted him to be his first time. but jisung had to know everything first.
"can we talk?"
jisung pulled off him, noting how minho's eyebrows were furrowed. "yeah, of course."
minho nodded, going to sit on the couch and jisung sat next to him, holding his hand. "i- i wanted to talk to you about what jeongin said. about my ex boyfriend."
jisung inhaled sharply. "okay, i'm listening."
the latter gulped, fiddling with hem of his sweater."well, um, when we started dating everything was fine. he was great, treated me well. but, then his mom died and apparently a witch killed her."
jisung's gaze softened and let out a small 'oh' before minho continued.
"i didn't think much of it until he asked me if i killed his mother. when i said no, he didn't believe me. he wanted proof, but how could you prove that you didn't kill someone?"
minho scoffed, leaning back into the couch more. "he threatened to kill me, held me at gun point to tell him the truth. but you can't kill a witch with a gun. he carved one of those words in my legs and left me on the floor. i haven't seen him in years, until i saw him on TV. he went to jail for raping 7 people."
"what scared me the most was; that could've been me, y'know?"
jisung nodded, feeling empathy for the older. "i can't say i understand, and i won't pity you because i know you hate it. but i'm glad you got out of it, who knows what could have happened."
