𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗱 (𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘅 𝗢𝗖)

Y/n's POV:
The next day, after school. Or so I call a 'living hell' I was walking out the front doors and started speed walking to Max's school. It wasn't that far away from mine so I always walked there and then Max and I would race to Billy's car. It seemed unfair because she was on a skateboard but im pretty fast. And when I say 'pretty' i mean 'reallyyy' fast, and I was up for the challenge because i'm very competitive. When I arrived I didn't see her and confusion came to me.

'she didn't tell me she was going somewhere..' I thought to myself.

I look around some more until I caught the familiar redhead in a group formed circle. There was a kid in the middle and his eyes were rolled to the back of his head. There was also someone shaking him and lightly slapping and squeezing his cheek ; she looked like she was in her late 30s and early 40s. I couldn't hear that well because I was so far away but I did hear little snippets of it.

"Wake up will.. Snap out.. It's mom.. willl?.. Will!.." The boy still in the same state as I first saw him. I quickly jogged over there, deciding to be nosy and see what was happening.

"Max!" I shouted before catching up with the group of kids and the mom. I panted and rested my hands on my knees for extra support so i wouldn't fall over. "Max.. what is.. this..?" I questioned in between pants.

"Uh idk!!" She panicked as she looked back at the group. I looked at them confused, trying to get them to explain.

"Will's stuck in another dimension.." One boy with curly black hair and faint freckles on his face mumbles. I keep the same look now asking him to elaborate. "He's stuck in some place called the Upside Down and we think the Mind Flayer has him.." He adds. I look at him wide eyed in shock. How do they even know what the upside down is??

"How do you know what that is?!" I gasp. My eyes still wide.

"How do you?" He questions back. I roll my eyes.

"I have history with it. It's in my gene. My family dealt with a bunch of things that the upside down created." I explain. Now his eyes were wide and then two other kids gasp in shock, both their eyes wide. "I think I can help.." I say and walk over to the woman trying to get Will to snap out of the state. She looks at me for a second, worry filling her eyes. "It's okay.. i've done it before." I add and gently put both my palms on both sides of his forehead.

I close my eyes and focus on getting in the kids head and getting him out of the blank state. I open my eyes and find myself in the weird slimy forest. There were echoes of the shrieks and squeaks of the unusual monsters. There were a lot of roots and worms on the ground so I had to jump and step over them so I don't get caught in them and fall. Thunder claps and lightning strikes, I jump slightly because I forgot about the rain like weather except it never really rains.  I look up at the blue and slightly red sky with very dark grey clouds. I see the shadow of the Mind Flayer inside the school chasing the boy. I run to the field and stand in the spot where the kid was just standing in hawkins.

"Will?.." I say. "Will?!!" I raise my voice.

"I'll stand my ground.." He mumbles, still looking back at the big shadow. He stops. "GO AWAY!" He starts. The monster still coming onto him. He makes a nervous expression but quickly changes it as he remembers Bobs story. "GO AWAY!!.." He adds. Still nothing changes. "GO AWAYY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY!! GO AWAAYYYY!" He yells as tears start to roll down his cheeks.

"WILL, NO!" I shout. The monster was about to grab Will and try to get inside of him until it was suddenly lifted up like it was a magnetic piece and a magnet was forcing it upwards. Both my hands in front of my chest. My arms laid in a straight line, as my nose slowly started to bleed. I used most of my strength to push it far away so I could get to Will and get him out of here safely. Unfortunately, the plan was unsuccessful as the monster used all its power and strength to fight back. "Shit.." I mumbled, as the monster was basically drowning the poor kid. Will was gasping for air as more air was inhaled from the monster. I tried again, but this time used all my power to get will out of there. The monster was already inside of Will. I slapped myself for letting it get to Will. As soon as we were back in the real world I fainted. I used to much strength and it was draining my energy. The last thing I heard was Max calling for me.
