Chapter 2

People of the - what I just found out was the Shadow pack - looked at me curiously probably wondering why I was in their house in a wedding dress looking like I've been hit by a bus. I crossed my arms yanking my left arm from the guy that held it, I glared at him.

Their Luna looked at me with sympathetic eyes. "Why is she here?"

I was frustrated. "Because, my dress got caught on a tree and he popped up and tried to pick a fight with me." I mumbled.

Some girl spoke up as she looked at me. "Why did your wedding dress get caught on a tree?"

I tried not to roll my eyes at her, I clicked my tongue. "Because, I was running away from a deranged vampire." I sighed. "The idiot tried to get me to marry him." I huffed and started to fiddle with my hair again.

The Luna's eyebrows arched. "You've been through a lot haven't you." She said with a sad look on her pretty face.

"Um yeah..." I started to get confused; shouldn't they be chasing me out of here by now?

"Shouldn't we be chasing her out of here by now?" some guy said and I glared at him and he winked.

I rolled my eyes and looked to the Luna. "No I don't think we should, she should stay with us until her parents find her, I'm sure their worried sick." She looked to me. "What's your name." she ushered me to fallow her; the guy that brought me here followed us.

"Aglaia Goldstein." I said sitting down on a couch in her office.

She looked back at me for a second. "Hmm Goldstein, that name sounds so familiar but I don't remember where I heard it from." Then she shook her head and sat down at her desk and calls the neighboring packs.

"You know it's really not necessary, I could just find a hotel somewhere." I shrugged.

She gave me a small smile. "Not with that crazy vampire on the loose, you're more than welcome to stay here at the Shadow pack."

I looked up at her in a challenging way. "And you're sure that your pack won't be bother that I'm a demon and a vampire?"

She frowned for the slightest second then another smile played on her face. "I'm sure they'll be fine as long as you don't attack them."

I smiled and shook my head. "I don't pick fights with people unless somebody has a problem with me" I looked the Luna in the eyes, "Thank you for letting me join your pack, that's very generous of you..."

She nodded then stood and walked out of her office, we followed. She walked down a lot of corridors and turned corners then stopped. "This will be you're room, tomorrow I'll introduce you to the pack." She looked to me, "I'll be sending someone to give you some clothes for tonight and tomorrow." She said then turned and walked off but not before saying goodnight.

The guy that was walking with us stood next to me. "Sorry about earlier, if you'd like I could take you out to get some new clothing tomorrow." He leaned against the dark blue wall and watched me.

I arched my eyebrow then smirked. "I'll take you up on that." I looked down at my dress and frowned, "I guess I'll have to wait for those clothes then." I looked to him, "What's your name anyway?"

He got off the wall and stood up straight. "Jaden." He was going to say something else but stopped himself; he gave me a shy smile. "Hey I got to go so I'll catch up with you tomorrow." He said walking off.

Confusion marked my face. "What's wrong?" he was nearly all the way down the hall but I still managed to hear him say something about pack business. I ended up shrugging it off and stepping into my new room, I kicked my heels off and sighed blissfully. Man my feet hurt and I didn't know how tired I was until I sat on the bed, all I wanted to do was lay down in this soft bed and sleep. I ended up sliding out of my dress and laying my head on the pillow, the lights were off and that encouraged me to go to sleep.
