Chapter 12
I stretched my arms and legs and yawned, looking around the first thing I spotted was a pacing wolf. Well not necessarily more like a pacing werewolf, Kyle look rather mad so I decided not to say anything to him. Looking around the hotel room I noticed mom was looking out the window rather suspiciously, my brows creased as I looked around for Nick. I couldn’t find him but I did spot a table full of food, hopping off of the couch I sauntered over towards it.
Pulling the chair back I looked at the table trying to decide what I wanted, I shrugged and decided on plain old cereal. After I was done with my cereal I had to go to the bathroom, mom and Kyle looked to me like I didn’t want to go in there.
“You might not want to go in there...” Mom said while Kyle nodded his head.
I did a little potty dance switching from either foot. “I have to go though.” I rushed to the door and knocked when I didn’t hear anything I opened the door. There was no nasty smells or anything like that but there was Nick and Devin, I didn’t have time to process what they were doing so I just kicked them both out. “Move it, move it.” I pushed them both out then closed the door rather loudly. I took no time going to the bathroom and as I washed my hands I could hear everybody badgering Devin.
I walked outside after freshening up a little in the bathroom and Devin was sitting on the bed while Kyle mom and Nick were all standing above him looming over him, I shook my head. “Devin what are you doing here, you said you’d give me time to think about it.” I dried my hands off with the paper towels.
Devin lay fully on the bed and looked to me just as he was about to speak Nick beat him to it. “What do you mean you’ll think about it?” He glared at Devin, Devin smirked.
I was about to speak but Devin interrupted. “She’s talking about our agreement, if she takes me back then she’ll rule with me.”
They all looked to me and I put my hands up in surrender. “Hey, I never really agreed to that.”
Devin sat up swinging his legs over to me, he looked up to me with those crimson eyes. “But it’ll happen, I can’t rule by myself.” He got up making me take a step back, he grabbed a lock of my hair then looked back to me. “I need you, and you know it.” Devin smiled.
I looked at him as he smiled. “Well yeah but-” I was cut off when Kyle pulled me to him and away from Devin, Devin frowned.
“But she’s with me, you’re not taking her away from me.” Kyle growled out, chest vibrating on my backside.
I could hear my mom and Nick saying “or me” in the background, I held the bridge of my nose frustrated. This is not a great way to wake up in the morning, I closed my eyes thinking leaning onto Kyle. I shook my head this wasn’t going to work, I had to figure something out soon. Pushing off of Kyle I walked to the door. “I’m going out for a walk.” Before they all interrupted I looked back to them with heated eyes. “Alone.” I growled out, that kept their mouth shut.
Sighing I opened the door and walked out, I found the entrance of the hotel quickly and I walked out into the cool air. Walking I started to think about how all this would work out, I knew it wouldn’t and if it did I’d need magic to do it. Growling to myself I continued to walk down the weird little path I’d wandered into, everything seemed darker over here. There was a lot of purple, drapes of purple color covered little tents and purple lanterns lined the skies. I noticed the skies were clouded, I couldn’t help but think it would rain.
Something drew me to this one little tent, I could see a giant crystal ball in the middle of a table. It looked to me like it had stars and moons, hell even the milky way surrounding it, that was pretty cool. A little old lady sat beside it quietly, staring into it as if she was in a trance. “So you’ve come, One with Different Appearances.” Her voice was rough and I just at it.
I stood half in the ten and half out. “How’d you know I’d come over here?” I asked curiously my brows furrowing.
The old lady didn’t say anything, she just gestured to the chair that appeared out of thin air. I nodded and sat down feeling a little uncomfortable. She looked back into the ball, her head was hooded with a dark purple cloak the patterns matched the ones that the ball had circling around it. After gathering whatever information she could from the ball she nodded to herself raising her head. “You’ve been through many things, and in the future you with go through even more than you can count.” She said quietly looking around. “And now you go through one of the hardest problems, you’re looking for a solution and finding none. I, will be able to help you with this problem if yours.” A small smile married her wrinkled face.
Sucking it all in I leaned in. “Really how?”
The old lady but her hand on over her magic ball changing the patterns making the stars shoot out, the patterns changes on her hood as well. The lady’s mouth was set in a line then she spoke again. “Meet me exactly in one year no sooner, no later, if you don’t your problem will not be solved and you will live in despair for the rest of you long long life.”
I gulped... that didn’t sound good. “How will I remember? Do I have to pay you?”
She shook her head. “No fine is needed for serving one that will one day save this world.” My eyes widened. “You will remember my dear, you won’t forget.” She smiled then turned her head sharply to the side looking outside of her tent. Turning her head back slowly she whispered. “When you leave here do not turn left, go right and do not look back.”
Taking that as my time to leave she ushered me on. “How will I know how to find you? What’s your name.” I said almost out.
She sat calmly on the chair and smiled. “You will know, One with Different Appearances...I am Celestial.”
I nodded. “Alright well, goodbye Celestial, I’ll see you in a year..”
She smiled. “That you will.” I exited and walked off I noticed it was already dark, the stars were outside and everything, About a yard away I heard an explosion, looking back I saw a big cloud of purple smoke and the next thing I know I’m practically surrounded.
