The tired man finally lets me out of his binding cloth and I sit down on a seat next to him. My joints feel sore from being suspended in the air for so long, but I don't really mind. It's the good kind of pain, the one that makes you want to move even more so that you can feel how sore it is again and again. I swing my feet and fidget to keep me busy. So far, the only interesting part about this meeting is the fact that I know I'm about to go to some really fancy school.
"She's enrolling a bit late. We also have to do the entrance exam in order for her to be able to go to U.A fairly," I hear one of the adults mutter. I don't bother to look up and see who's talking though. When will this meeting end?
"He has a point. We also need to consider the fact that she has no where to stay. No legal guardians, and she can't live in a house alone."
"Exactly my point! She shouldn't be left alone. She's dangerous."
"I think that she meant that this child is still a minor and doesn't have a job to be able to pay for her own rent."
"Principal Nezu, do you think we could let her stay in the dorms that U.A provides? It's most likely our best option at the moment."
"I think that's a lovely idea! Not only would we would be able to monitor her, we would also be able to help her adjust to the school life!"
"We can't just let her live on school premises! What if she harms the students! It's already bad enough that we're letting her go to school in U.A."
"Then let's take a vote, shall we? Everyone who thinks that this girl should stay in the dorms, raise your hands."
I can hear the rustling of clothes. I look up and the man with the flaming beard glares at me. I just stare back. I notice that mostly everyone but him and the scrunkly man have raised their hands. I actually liked the scrunkly man, but I guess he doesn't appreciate my humour.
"Fine. If that's how it's gonna be, I have no choice," the man with the flaming beard says. The skinny man only sighs. I scoff.
"Alrighty, now that it's settled, let's get her settled into her dorm room!" Says a woman with.. a yellow bandana and teal coloured hair.
"That was the most horrible word play pun that I have ever heard."
"You just don't appreciate me. But you know what word play reminds me of? Tongue twisters! And do you know what tongue twisters remind me of? Tongue kissing! We should explore the topic sometime!" Says the woman while smiling broadly. I can tell she's holding in a laugh. The man with the banana hair though, is laughing hysterically, repeatedly slapping his knee.
I can't help but laugh quietly. I wish I had friends like that.
Nevermind, I wish I had friends, periodt.
Maybe I'll be able to make friends when I get to go to school.
