This story is dedicated to you Jack

There's this one annoying sound that I could NOT hate more. No, it's not the voice of a sibling. It's the wonderful repetitive beeping of an alarm clock at 5am.
Letting myself stretch, I hit the stop button and drag myself out of bed.

I walk the quiet halls of my home and make my usual. Bacon and eggs.

Once I'm certain they are cooked, I throw them on plate and rush back to my oh so beloved bedroom.

My morning routine is simple
really.
Eat breakfast while getting dressed in a long sleeve shirt and black leggings then I'm off to the bathroom to clean my teeth, wash my face blah blah blah.
I don't wear makeup so getting ready is easy and quick.
Back in my room, I brush my long brown hair and pull it up in a tight bun leaving two strands out front.

I give myself one last glance on the mirror. We're all guilty don't start.

Right, coat and off to a very cold walk to work.

It's a short walk but still long enough to feel the coldness bite into your face.

The sign of Deliah's Cafe shines at me. Yes yes I'm here.

I unlock the door and change the sign. First job in a cafe? Make sure your coffee machines are on and they are refilled.
Then it's just a waiting game for the early workers to walk through your doors asking for a coffee to go.

I grab my apron and tie around my waist making sure to put my name badge on too. My boss is very picky.

An hour passes by and this tall gentlemen walks in staring blankly at the menu above my head.

Planting a soft smile on my face, I walk. "Hello and welcome to Deliah's Cafe. What can I get for you?"
He turns to look at me. "Just a hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream please", he responds showing no emotion whatsoever.
"To go or to stay in?" I ask.
"Stay in please."
"Of course, no problem" I respond turning my back to make his drink.
Guess somebody isn't a morning person!

I add the marshmallows on top and smile at him again.
"Here you go! Your total is £2.49" I tell him.
He pulls his card and taps the machine.
"Sugars over there if you'd like", I point to our sugar station. He nods and carries his drink over.

Never have I ever met such a quiet dude. Most dudes that walk on try and flirt with me. This one dude just wants a hot drink and that's all.

Very interesting indeed......
