Ena woke up, trying to process where she was. She blinked a couple times, groaning every time her eyes looked directly at the bright light. She sat up, basically forcing herself before rubbing her eyes aggressively.

"Ugh...Mizuki? You there?" Ena looked down. Her vision was still a little blurry, but when it finally cleared up, there was no Mizuki. "Oh.." Ena sighed. She finally got the motivation to leave the couch she slept on and headed into the kitchen of their small cabin. Ena's mood lightened up when she saw Mizuki trying to cook. She would giggle to herself when they would mess up or lose their patience. Eventually, Mizuki had heard her chuckle and turned around at her, pouting but still having a smile on their face.

"What are you laughing for? I don't see you cooking."

"Hehe...I'm always the one cooking. It's rare to see you cook breakfast. All you know how to cook is your favorite food."

Curry and fries. The thoughts of that made Ena smile more. Mizuki crossed their arms.

"Mhm, well. I thought you needed a short break so I'm trying to cook something OTHER than cereal."

"Break?"

"Yeah. You slept longer than me this time. How ironic."

"Mhm..." Ena looked away. Those words only reminded her of when they went hunting the other day. She felt guilty about it, but she didn't know that they were both having the same thoughts.

"Ena-chan was sleeping peacefully! It took me a while to leave the couch because of her cute sleeping face~" Mizuki teased, obviously changing the conversation, which worked.

"S-Shut up! Why were you even staring?!" Ena blushed. Mizuki giggled.

"Because you're cute!"

"Ugh shut up!"

Ena's reactions just made Mizuki laugh more. It made her angry, but she was secretly happy just to see Mizuki smiling. It made her smile a little bit.

"Still working on breakfast though. You should go back to sleep, us talking will distract me and cause the food to burn."

Ena shook her head. "I should watch you just in case you make it taste like shit."

"Profanity! Motherrrr!" Mizuki cried. Ena rolled her eyes.

"So dramatic..." she mumbled. Mizuki was almost done with the food, humming a little bit to break the silence. Soon enough, they started to have a sense.

"Ena."

"Y-Yes..? Why so serious all of a sudden?" Ena backed up a little. Mizuki was only serious during battle, Ena's never seen them serious during safety. It scared her a bit, but that's because Mizuki's spark would always glitch out of seriousness.

"Finish the food for me." Is that all they wanted to tell her? "I'll check outside, I sense....something."

"S-Sense?! It's been a while since you've done that..! A-And with your one horn!—" Ena started to panic but she didn't know why. She thought it was incredible how Mizuki's powers and skills stilled worked finely while they were injured, but she was somewhat more scared for them.

Mizuki basically shoved the cooking utensils in Ena's hand and walked off, getting a stronger sense of something, which caused them to somewhat feel pain. They winced, feeling their head for a moment.

Ena turned off the stove and practically ran to Mizuki, somewhat bumping into them. "M-Mizuki? Are you okay?! Calm down..! How are you feeling?! What's wrong?!—"

Ena began to stop talking, thinking that if she asked too much questions, it would cause Mizuki's head to spin and make them faint. She started to lead Mizuki to their nearby couch.
