Death Of A Hero

shota's first love

Aizawa Pov.

I was in the midst of calling izuku back
when I heard a knock on the door.

"Ochacko Midoriya!" I say, letting her in. "I haven't seen you since the funeral. How are you holding up?"

"I'm doing slightly better" the funeral was held back in April, its been six months already. Wow. "Me and Izuku had an understanding that our marriage was a publicity and security scheme, we were both having affairs, and we were content with that arrangement. Before you ask, I loved him like a brother." She then explained to me that although they were married they slept in different beds, got on amazingly well and he left her all of his homes in his will.

"Wow, so why did you come here?"

"I know you guys were having an affair, and I know that he loved you, more than anything." The girl explained "But. He never portrayed any symptoms of depression, even in his room. He was always out of bed early, laughing and the only time he cried was when he saw cute cat videos. He also started behaving suspiciously in the days leading up to his death, he would be walking out of the room to call people, sneaking around the house, hiding his phone and whispering to himself."

"Okay? What does this have to do with me?"

"Look, sensei. I don't think he's dead. And you know something."

"No I don't, Mrs Midoriya."

"Well you have my number. We both know he was your first love."

And with that she left. That day I decided to meet all might. Since the funeral I'm pretty sure he hasn't left his house, getting his house maids to do his food shopping for him. I pull up to his huge house and knock on the door. I see a teary-eyed all might opening up the door. He wipes his tears and fakes his classic all might smile.

"Ahh! Aizawa Shota! My friend, what brings you here?"

"Toshi, can I come in? You arent okay."

"I'm great, Aizawa."

"That boy was like a son to you. You arent okay."

"Come in." He was slurring his words, obviously drunk as he walked me in.

We spend the day reconnecting over izuku and he lightens up a bit, but still obviously grieving. We somehow get onto the topics of first loves and that's where he starts laughing.

"You know what sho?" I shivered, that was the name izuku called me. I made a mistake and I know it. "Inko, she was my first love. My only love."

It was obvious considering they were married, only living separately after izukus death to grieve.

"I might ask her to move back in."

"Good for you man. Got any alcohol?"

"Aizawa, you hate drinking?"

"A man's gotta do what he's gotta do."

"I've got larger, I'll go get some."

He comes back with the beer in a matter of seconds and he cracks one open. He passes one to me and he asked me a question I'd never thought I'd have to answer.

"So, aizawa, who was your first love?"

"My first love was a brave man. He was so resilient and had no regard for his life, almost a copy cat of you. He was kind, always willing to help others. He became a hero for the sole purpose of helping people. My first love was izuku midoriya."

"No! Your first love was not young midoriya."

"He was. His wife weren't actually in love. It was simply public schemes. They got along like siblings."

"I can't imagine how this must all feel for you."

Me and all might shared the rest of the bottles and I went home around 6:30 .

~the next day~

I was happy to see that all might had made a public appearance since the funeral. That one public appearance inspired me to call izuku.

Ring ring... Ring ring...

"Hello?"

"Hey, izuku."

"What."

"I made a mistake." I say, while tears well up into my eyes. "Can we try again?"

"Not right now. I'm dating again."

I hang up, angry at myself for pulling that shit. I throw my phone at the wall and destroy my bedroom.

"FUCK!"

I end up passing out on the floor in all the mess.

The next morning I decide to clean my house from top to bottom to get rid of the pain.
