Scott POV:
"What am I thinking? I shouldn't- no- I can't, go to the party!" I cry. "Why not?" Jimmy asked me in a sleepy voice, he just woke up. "No one's going to want me there! I'm so cold and stubborn, no one will want me even relatively close to them!" I reply, trying to do my hair. "Calm down, I'm fine with you being near me."
"Petal! You don't count," I told him, frustrated at the fact that I don't know how to be nice or kind anymore, I'm just overprotective of Jimmy! "Flower," Jimmy said calmly as he placed his hand on my shoulder, "You're ok, they don't need to understand why, quite frankly I don't even know why." I turn around, hugged him, and whispered, hopefully not loud enough for Jimmy to hear, "Thank you, Petal. I don't deserve you~"
"I heard that, and you deserve everything, my Flower. Now you keep getting ready, I need to get ready myself," Jimmy said, hugging me, then turning around to leave. "Petal! Wait, you forgot something," I said, grabbing his wrist. "Yes-?" Jimmy started to say but then got cut off by me kissing him. After we parted to breathe, I thanked Jimmy again and then I let him leave. It felt like a chunk of my soul was being ripped away from me as my Petal left.
Sweet and Poetic but Sharp and Painful, that's how I describe my and Jimmy's relationship. I don't fully understand it myself yet, but I do know that no matter what, Jimmy's important, and I will always need him.
Jimmy POV:
"I'm trusting you, Flower, be safe... I love you," I whisper to myself as I start to see the Cod empire coming up ahead. "Hey, Jimmy! What are you talking to yourself about?" I hear a familiar voice say. "Oh, Hi Fwip! I'm just saying how much slime I need to clear out," I lied, it was probably the most believable lie I've ever told. "Oh, do you have a lot?" Fwip ask me as we landed. "I'm guessing I haven't been home in quite a bit," That was pretty true. "Oh lord... that's a lot of slimes."
