"aww, you're being nice" i laughed, making a sarcastic comment.

we quickly ate our food, and dropped the girls off at home.
we were driving, since we were only 4 hours and 20 minutes away. a flight would have only taken 34 minutes, but the tickets were expensive, and covid is still going around.
